We have 3 offices, but the one I spend most of my time is very close.

It's not a factor for me, like yourself I am only about 12 minutes away.

I roll out of bed.  We have no physical office, just a PO box where everything is registered to.

My license is hung with a large brokerage and the closest branch office is about five miles from home.   Location makes a difference in real estate but not sure if it does when choosing an office - likely depends on the individual.

0 minutes.  Main office is my home address.  I don't think distance matters unless you have to physically bring earnest money checks or files to the office.  -Kasey

I haven't had bricks-and-mortar since 2007 LOL. Have not missed it either.

Very close in Carmel-by-the-Sea by my office. The whole city is only 1 square mile.  Then I have a brokers license in Hawaii and that's a little ways away (understatement).

My office is in my home... so technically I live in my office! My brokerage is about 3 miles away, but I don't show my face there more than 2 times a month on average.

I am only 10 minutes away, so not right now.  It's nice to be so close when it's necessary!

It would bother me as now I am 8 miles away & it can take 20 minutes. I used to be less than a mile at most times. You get spoiled I guess. Better setup everything in your office that could possibly happen.

I have a home office.  No longer a factor. There is no need for most agents to go to their brick and mortar office unless they are required to attend meetings. In that case, the distance would be an issue.  

I live 7 miles or 10-15 min from the office. 

That sounds like a drive to me, though if you listen to tapes along the way (either motivational or a current novel) the time will fly by Paul S. I am virtual in Florida and in California, my office is 2 miles distant.

My intown home is a grueling 32 feet commute from the office. But do have a lake home 9 miles away, a farm 1.5 miles west of the real estate beehive. It all works well because in small towns look mom, no traffic. No locked doors, no crime either.

Until a month ago, I was about 15 minutes away.  Now I'm about an hour and five minutes. I only go in to the office meetings every other week or so, so it's only inconvenient when I get mail there.I work from home, so it's really been  fine so far!

I used to live over an hour away and it was a chore because I had to be in every day.  I now own my own brokerage and am 5 minutes away.  A great deal for me.

I live about 7 miles away. Tennessee just removed the mileage requirement for all Tennessee licensees. Now you can live in anywhere in the state and have your license hanging with your broker.

I live 45 minutes. In four years, I just saw my broker last year. It doesn't matter to me

    I work from home.

    Most of my business in Tallahassee is 30 to 45 minutes drive from here.

    80 minutes is too far, too much.

Not a factor for me as I am a sole proprietor. Used to manage an office an hour away and before that about three minutes.

I have a home office so it's pretty close. LOL. But the brokerage is 6 miles from my house

That is quite a drive, I could be in Beverly Hills based on the time.  For us, saving time is a priority.  For that reason, we have made a concerted effort to play our trips our of Santa Barbara.  A

I am about 20 minutes, all local roads, to my office. I don't go to the Main Office to work though. 

I live 2 miles, less than a 5 minute ride unless i stop at Dunkins

Over 1 hour. Doesn't really matter since most agents are mobile these days and work from home.

As long as the location indicated on your business card is identified as local to your preferred client, there should be no problem.

If, for example my office and official address was in Orlando and I live and work in Tampa, others can exploit that easily.

I'm in a small, rural area. I live a couple miles out of town but it's less than a 10-minute commute so it does't affect me.

My brokers office is 1/2 hour away - my office is under my butt in my home ;)
