I have an Instagram account that I've never used. Don't expect to be doing so anytime soon. Just not enough time to keep chasing all the latest social media sites.

I use both, but instagram does not have enough substance to be more than a distraction.  Facebook is still beating it for activity and substance.

While I don't dwell in the past, I believe in Yesterday.  As far as social media I currently spend more time/energy on ActiveRain than any other.   

Depends upon your age...  Per my daughters, FB is for "old" people (i.e. those with money to buy and sell real estate!).

We've gotten lots of business from FB. Instagram is a younger group of users so it's got possibilities, but I haven't gotten any business from it yet.

I think " There is a sucker born every minute". If I get a truthful ad that says " " The only thing you need to know about making money in business is how to bullshit real estate agents" I would read it.

I have Facebook fatigue.

I find it is easy to use both.  Listen to the younger generation and they will tell you that you have to be on Instagram.  You can development a following on Instagram like Facebook for networking. Keep all your cannons firing.

I spend very little time on FB and I am not on Instagram.  I am with Nina Hollander - no time or desire to be chasing social media.

"Yesterday" according to whom? FB is the #1 social media site in the world.

I can directly attribute closed transactions from Facebook marketing.  

No deals from Instagram but it is useful for generating brand awareness (especially if you can get into a sharing group).

I think it's another SocMed thing I don't need to spend my time with

The best new tool ever is meeting more people face to face.  Do some research on who the demographics and the psycho-graphics of the users are, as well as their influencers.  If they represent people who buy homes or sell homes in your area, then go for it.  I still remain a fan of face to face meetings.  A

It is a different audience and you can not do on 1 what you can on the other. You can post on Insta and it will autopost on Facebook. I do both but need to spend more time on Insta

I guess we Boomers will chase the under 35 off of that site next ?

I don't know what 'working wonders for them' means.

I have not experienced Instagram generating MONEY.

Facebook has generated money.

Pinterest has generated money.

Instagram suggests a lot of activity, but to date, no $$$$.

I know nothing about Instagram and really don't do all that much on Facebook either.

Facebook is like Google while Instagram is like Bing.

I'm with Michael Jacobs ..Spend more time in AR..use Facebook and some on Instagram but mainly keeping up with my older grand-kids more on Instagram:).

The younger gen is liking Instagram. I guess they will have to do it without me. I cannot possible add one more thing to my agenda.

 I dumped Facebook, for a lot of reasons.  I don't want anything to with FB's subsidiary companies, including Instagram, so I have also abandoned that site. 

Neither has brought me any business.  FB ads have done OK, but no checks to deposit.  Both are more work than they're worth, IMHO.  If they died tomorrow I wouldn't shed a tear.

Have not used either for business. Will be back to review other answers!

Business is crazy busy and cannot keep up with social media, and that includes instagram.

I will need to try it, particularly since I did have my FB account hacked last month. FB needs to have better user security in place.

I still say facebook is the one to stick with.

Each is used for different purposes.

I hear this from the younger generation, but seems like there are tons of people on FB still and people using it with great success.  I don't use either. -Kasey
