Click the link. What could go wrong?
I clicked the link. It was to WebMD and immediately heard "your computer is infected with a virus...."
I shut down the computer and got out without damage.
This past weekend, clicked on a Amazon link and heard, "Your computer is infected....." and was unable to exit. Had to hit power off, followed by a full scan that found the malicious critter. That took 6 hours.
Unsolicited mail with links should raise the RED flags.
As real estate folks who use this technology a lot, we should understand our recipients are in the same situation. Unsolicited mail with links.
It is a difficult issue to resolve.
If you click on the link and tell us what happens.

I have had inquiries via Trulia or Zillow where the "buyer" was inquiring about my listing, but the emails were vague. Then they sent me an alleged Docusign link, saying that they wanted me to look at some pictures. Who sends pictures through Docusign?
There are cyber thieves out there who try to get real estate agents and loan officers to click on links, which drop a payload onto your computer, allowing the thieves to get in to your emails. They wait for a transaction to come to closing and email YOUR clients pretending to be you, telling them to wire the money for the closing to the scammers instead of your title company.
BEWARE of unsolicited emails with links!

Sounds like a scammer. Had the same thing happen with Homes.com, so I stopped feeding them listings.

Hmm, I don't think I have heard of that, but then again, if something doesn't look familiar to me, I just delete it without even opening it.
