I would write new blogs with updated, expanded information and link back to the best performiing older posts. Build new with that 2000 words of fresh content and better blogging rather than one by one search back to prop up. When I bump into a high ranking older blog post in a search, I will tweak it for format, add a link, restructure a tad. But not the ROI best use of your time to rework the old stuff IMHO.

I figure if you have topics that are evergreen, if you change up content and titles, etc. it would not hurt. To me that is not really reblogging. To me reblogging is just reposting the same old, same old.

I would pay attention to only the top 10 that are ranking well.  You could boost older post by changing up the titles but then maybe just writing something new would be more effective.

Hard to say as I'm not there to see how each post is performing. If none are performing well, I would not use that format again & try a new post with almost the same info.

Reblogging is forwarding on someone else's post with you writing a lead in.

I would revise older posts that got good traffic, perhaps improve the keywords etc. and repost. Just reblogging (using the exact same post) will not be as effective and could hurt you

I did a major clean up and rebuild of my WP sites. I cleaned up older posts. My primary focus was on adding content to pages ... lots of content ... over 2,000 words and then did internal linking on pages and posts.  If you block time you can get it done.

I don't know that I would refer to it as 're-blogging' but, rather, refreshing! Those posts that never have a true 'expiration' can always be re-worded just a bit, the titles changed up and yes, your description and keywords refreshed as well.

Writing fresh content is more important though, Steven Nickens!

I tend to agree with Nina Hollander on this one, where your evergreen and maybe Featured posts deserve that time & attention. Then I'd defer to the advice of Andrew Mooers and the other comments that seem to round out nicely the answer to your question.
