It takes a state of mind, shutting out and most often off the phone. Fo rme i like white noise such as a low volume radio or tv to block out the hum of brain waves

Yep, I go to our office's pond, grab a table and shut off my phone.

Shutting off your phone is key.

Get up especially early....large cup of java and shut the office door....

I shut off my phone and the rest is easy

Closing email, turning off the phones and turning up the music.

Forward the phone and do it at home.

I shut out the entire world.... if it's a big project at work, my door is closed and no one interrupts....if it can be completed at home, I go home with it...

As long as phones are quieted and my dog is not barking at the neighbor's dogs, it's all good. :D

I turn the phone on silent, and ignore my email for a time.

I have to shut phone and try to do that particular task the early part of the day.

I start by putting my phone on airplane mode and out of sight.

Home office. Phone and text messages OFF.

I just focus on the task at-hand! 

 Phones off.  Don't check emails.

I shut my phone off and concentrate at my office..not going home with it..get too distracted.

I time block and get it done. I work well under pressure and can shut out distractions really well.

I focus and do not answer my phone unless from a caller I am expecting.

Block out time is 5 to 7 in the morning works for me.

As that old Nike commercial said I "just do it." 

I pick a time and place to work, then shut off/out everything else. 

I tend to spend less time focus on the more urgent issue. I get criticized not focus on that task 100% by defer all others.   Every year I pay tax on time. I go home spend quality time with family. 

I tried to shut my door but life is full of interruptions so I can't completely ignore the world.

Those that honor the moment have no trouble finding their centers & focusing when necessary. Those that are all over the place find it harder

No sir, I have the ability to shut off all outside distractions,, movements or anything else that keeps me from concentrating on my goal

My routine is to commit the day. However, life goes on and people need our help.

The committed day means 2 hr blocks of intense focus, with a break to address priority 1 issues. Then back to the task.

Go to our meeting room where there are less distractions than my office.
