The accounts are reconciled, title is transferred and if the buyer is getting a mortgage those papers are signed. In my market the keys are also handed over.

It varies from state to state. In California we don't have a formal closing around a table as some states do. But in general closing means tranferring the title to the new owner, with all funds distrubuted to the appropriate parties - lender payoff (if applicable), seller receives proceeds, etc.

I get paid

If you have done a good job, you will get a check to take to your office.

The best part, hopefully, you close the escrow and everyone involved in the transaction gets what they wanted. 

The buyer and the lender bring in money, gives it to the seller after pay-off to their mortgage companies if any - and.... the buyer gets the key!

Money changes hands, someone gets a house, a real estate agent and a few other people get paid.

the buyer pays .... the sellers gives the buyer the deed to the land ....the seller accepts it.... the deed gets recorded and broker gets paid....

People move on with their lives ... some celebrate ... some get moving. 

Closing documents are signed, the Deed is recorded and the new owners get to move into their home.

The home becomes the buyers home. Here in NH buyer and seller attend closing. Both sign the closing docs, buyer pays amount due, seller hands over keys and closing person hands out money
