Based upon the clients preference ... if left up to me ... email, phone, text. That may change depending on the urgency of any given situation.

Some clients are better with certain forms of communication than others. That being said to explain something I prefer to use prerecorded videos that explain processes and what to expect. Emails are good for fairly brief reminders, texts are fast but more awkward for some and a phone call is the best way to interact.

No two clients are the same nor are situations and circumstances the same. You have to evaluate and deliver what is needed at the moment.

They all want something different now - text, email, video chat and rarely phone calls.

We have a discussion on their preferred contact method and how often they would like updates. I find most want text messages, but email is also common. Even for leads that aren't clients yet text seem to be the best way to get replies and built a relationship.

Depends on the client. Working with one now that loves to text.  It's like getting a short story every time.  I prefer the phone, but whatever works best for my client.. I will adapt.

I usually ask my clients what is the best way to communicate and how late into the evening will a call/text be acceptable.

I find most clients will prefer email or text unless it would take more than a few sentences to communicate a message -- then a phone call would be best.

It is those attributes as well as and more importantly, accurate information answering their questions. Email does it for me with a follow-up call to discuss
