You can have your settings on your business page be set to allow you to moderate the post. That way you decide who gets to post something, or rather when it shows on the timeline.

I would say if it's on there, defend it head on but stay calm. Evidently that person picked up a few friends or trolls to help with the hysteria.

I'm going to change my settings today like Michael & Candice suggested.

It will definitely happen if you use social media long enough. Hopefully that one rotten apple is offset by a bushel of satisfied reviews by past clients.

Michael Thacker - Re/Max Real Estate Center - Louisville's got the right idea here.

I don't feel a Facebook Page should be an automatic. It's important to know where your ideal clients "hang out" and then build your social platform there. Then, it's all about building relationships. Not just having a "Page" for the sake of having a "Page" (or a Twitter account, Snapchat, etc.)

It is not how one behaves when thing go well that is their measure but when things go Ka-plewy.

In social media, there is no middle ground, You are either for or the enemy of the interests of others. The resulting vitrial burns.

Respond at a higher level, being the best version of yourself.

Then, as others stated, don't allow everyone a 'FREE' soapbox.

However, you can paraphrase and anonymize comments received as critical. Use them to demonstrate life is not a bowl of strawberries, stuff happens and you have sufficient fabric and dimension to reach a property outcome.

Make sure you are not added to the post.  Only you can allow them to do so.  Anyone can rant on Yelp, Trulia, Zillow, Redfin.  It's been going on forever and it's called freedom of speech.
