I say post what you have to post when you are ready to post it. I do not feel posts need to be categorized by posting ... just use #hashtags regarding the topic of the day.

I don't think it really matters.  Most people won't pay attention/don't care.  It if makes it easier for you, do it. If it makes it harder/boxes you in, don't. From an algo stndpt, it's the interaction that matters.  And, I would guess that your listings get the lowest amt of intereaction.

Facebook and social media seems to be very keen on themed days.  Throwback Thursday, Woman Crush Wednesday and so on. I doubt in the grand scheme of things that it really matters if you have a set schedule.  I know when I took Hootsuite's social media marketing training they advocated a schedule like you said.

You can certainly do that. You will create  a following who will come to expect those posts to be there on those days. Great way to build your brand. But make they are done ahead of time and put into Hootsuite , in case, for some reason you don't get the post in, your following will not be too happy. :)

But also spice it up in between those postings. Make sure you post some quotes, things that make people smile, inspirational, personal etc. to keep it interesting and to develop the relationships.

I don't think that posting the same type of post every week on the same day is very important.

I have heard that posting at certain times of the day will get you more views. For example, people tend to check their Facebook right before leaving work for the day or heading out to lunch.

Alot of people do it that way labeling it Featured Fridays, Foreclosure Friday, Thursdays is throw back, Wicked Wednesday.

People will look forward to it but you have to obviously plan everything out.

If you are having a hard time with a schedule, use Hootsuite or Friends+Me & post a month in advance if you like.

Hi Dianne,

I think it depends on your audience. I do not think people who follow your site will remember a schedule, but you will see what they "like" and respond to. When you get a large response from people who are past or prospective clients, I would post often to their interests.

I very rarely post listings on my business page, I have received that advice from so many people who I have taken classes from and I have seen that to be true on my own page.  I post home decor, beautiful kitchen, patio areas, luxury homes, etc., This is what consumers want and always engage with those kinds of posts.  When I post a listing, it is ignored and there is no engagement.  By following this method, and taking out a few ads, I have built my FB business page to over 12,500 likes and have received business from it.
