I don't care about the refrigerator, I want my name and number in their phone on speed dial.

I don't use them, never have but have seen many that have several on their refrigerators when I list the house.  I have them remove all "junk" off the refrigerator.  

As I tell them more of what they need to do they hand me the note pad of an agent and ask me to jot a few things down.  I hand them a prepared and branded checklist of things already written down and we go over the checklist together.  It's bound in a nice booklet with additional information about the process.

Annette, one of my favorite things is to get a listing contract signed in a house with scratch pads, pens, magnetic calendars and football schedules... all of different agents.

I did print magnet calendars this year - but I agree with Gabe Sanders 

I get them from others and they go right in the trash!  I have a calendar on my phone, my computer, my iPad...I don't need one on my fridge!

That said, like Gabe Sanders, my number better be in their speed dial!

Please count me out of that.  Never ever ever have I wanted my face and phone number on anyone's refrigerator. 

I use a suction cup on one piece I mail out for dishwashers now.

I can't tell you how many times I've walked through a listing for One agent, to find someone else's calendar on their refrigerator.

I don't want my face on their fridge.  I want my name on the "under contract" sign out front.

I have been amused for years when I see most of the calendars with an agent on it are not the listing agent when I show.

Nope. We still send magnetic sports schedules and calendars.

I love walking into a house where my face is on the frig. This works for me. 

I stopped using fridge magnets a couple years ago.

I don't like using the fridge as wall space so I do not mail and do not keep fridge magnet items. My favorite little tchotche item is from when we bought our home 13 years ago - a round rubber disc that provides grip when opening jars.  (It is actually useful, and therefore not quite tchotche.)

I suspect that most people just ignore the trinkets that agents send, even those stuck to their appliances.

Having said that, my super jumbo 6x9 double color glossy postcards have been known to be stuck to the refrigerator in some fashion from what I have heard.

I recently had a listing. The seller had another agent's magnet on her fridge (the buidling specialist). I mentioned it and asked seller why she didn't hire her. Seller said it was just a good magnet.

I give pens so they can sign listing agreement and contract. Buyers get gold plated keychains.

I have used magnetic strips on business cards for this purpose.

I still like sending some out, most often sports schedules but no where near what i used to. 

I'm still going the magnet route but put a reminder in my "calendar note" that they can bring "me" to the office too (for metal filing cabinets etc).
