I think the only true 'good stuff' we each have to offer is our own unique selves and the wisdom, talent, experience and passion we bring - 
Everything else is just 'stuff'  :)

I make Listing Appointments "pinky swear" they won't give my stuff to competitors - but who knows ?

I live a transparent life....easy-peasy nice & breezy....

there are no secrets in real estate.... everyone works differently.... I'm very transparent about all the I do online and offline.... 

I try to share as much as my info as possible.  By proving my knowledge and expertise, as well as willingness to share, it shows the consumer who I am and why I'm the best choice.

The best way to compete is to find that uncontested and underserved marketplace that very few bother with.  If one is constantly turning their head back to look at the gap, they are going to loose their momentum, and the competition will take over.  A

All my stuff is on a stick that I take with me so it never says on a company computer. 

But .... my first thought is do you mean on your website? Is there a way to protect HTML that I'm not aware of. Behind the screen so to speak? Most search engines let you do that.

I would share virtually anything I know with my competitors.  We don't do rocket science after all.

The good stuff that's part of the marketing & listing presentation is done in person.  There is no "secret sauce" kept online.

Password protected even inside my office. Yes, my password is not password. 

My good stuff is hidden in my head.  I'm hoping it comes out someday.  LOL

On a serious note:  I never "hid" anything behind anything.  It was all out there.  No matter how much I put out there in print... you can really only get my good stuff with the real me.  Putting it out there is one thing. Execution is quite another.

It's not necessary in our office unless we forget to sign off of the computer.

This has been a "hot" topic in my world as of late...  I'm constantly creating forms, handouts etc.  I agree that nothing we do is rocket science and truly believe that success comes in the execution & the human contact phase of interactions however, I also don't need to "spoon feed" my competition a way to help them "do it better".  SO...  yes - while none of it would probably make any real difference,  i'm keeping some of what I consider my good stuff closer to my chest. 

Yes, for my CLIENTS only!  I got tired of showing up to listing interviews, only to find others had left MY work behind!  Now, I leave 'generic' information with them and rest on my laurels (presentation, verbal plan and personality!)
