I generally do blogging and catch up on other marketing (and/or paper work).  Today we had snow (looks like a lot) so that's what I did.

I make alternative plans with clients/prospects. It just is not a big deal here, unless we are having truly torrential rain. Be safe!

It certainly looks like you are getting a lot of snow. We had about six inches in our last storm. There's more coming, too. 

It's Colorado and we just deal with it. I've never really had any issues, and I've even shown properties where you have to snowmobile in to see them. 

Punt and go on with life.  Roll with the punches.

Reschedule and stay on top of things..safety first for both you and your clients.

Do what I did and come to Hawaii? Of course, it helps to have a brokers license here too as well as in California.

But seriously for you, as long as your Internet works, stay put and work on your marketing. If you are snowed in, so is everyone else around you.

It is a good time to work on your database and to make phone calls.

Not much you can do other than to learn to live with it.

Do your best of course you would do that, Lynnea, and above all stay safe!

I work out of my home and so I just get up and treat each day the same.  I take advantage of the fact that everyone is snowed in right along with me and I try to stay abreast of my business.

Well, 'Congrats!' on receiving multiple Offers - Yea, you, Lynnea Miller!!  For me, the weather doesn't mean work 'stops', it just means that I 'adjust' my schedule.  No Home Previewing, but other types of Marketing, or catching up on writing short personal notes to past clients!

Not much to do, hope that it clears up.

Stay safe. Warm a cup of hot cocoa and utilize the phone. Your clients will understand.

Today's weather was HORRIBLE!!!  75 degrees and sunny.

I showed some houses this afternoon, and it was nippy, but nothing like what other parts of the country are getting.

   It's a bone chilling 27 degrees here in Florida tonight.  No snow, but I will stay in tomorrow and catch up on office work, social media, etc.

use that snowed-in time wisely.... I use it to market after I've finished my required marketing..... I just keep going....

I work on systems, online marketing and reaching out to clients and potential clients. The time is well spent.

The show must go on. We do not have severe weather in my area ... it has never stopped me from doing what business needs to be done.  The key is "safety first".  

That ok, work inside calling clients.   Spring is around the corner

We had cold weather last week and snow so I stayed indoors and purged clothes, emails, excess paper, and I worked on three new reale state classes I will be teaching this year. I also communicated with investors via email.

We don't deal with snow in Florida but big blows are not uncommon.

When weather prohibits Plan A, I move to Plan B. That works until the power goes out, or the internet goes down, then it is on to Plan C. Plan C means time to check on the neighbors and those vulnerable.

Work around it, that is all you can do!

I always have things I can do from home.

Do you drive a snow cat? If not, try to become more effective over the phone from you warm and inviting home!

We don't have your kinds of weather, but we do have strong weather at times - if need be, we cancel/re-schedule as needed - you can't stop the weather LOL

There are so many other activities to do; calling sphee, prospects etc.

I either have to work through it or around it. Business does not stop. If i cant be on the road, i can be on the phone, email or doing computer work. 

Stay in the home office!

Wow! Weather doesn't often disrupt my business and when it does, I stay home and catch up on lots of stuff--filing, calls, paperwork, etc. These days, technology lets us get much done without having to leave our homes.

I grew up in Mill City, halfway between Bend and Salem. I suspect they are seeing record snowfall, as well.

It is rainy in here. I'm perfectly fine with the rain or any weather, but unfortunately nasty virus just kicked me out of business. 

Congratulations on your very hot new listing, Lynnea -- unless it is truly unsafe, life and business goes on as usual.  Slow down.  Be careful.  

Use technology for communication.  Depending on the size of the snow dump, wait a few hours or perhaps the next day to show properties so plows and homeowners can clear the side streets, sidewalks and walkways.  However, we get very few dumps each year.

I am very adaptable.

We so rarely experience it that the whole city tends to shut down - I typically use it as a paperwork catch-up day!

Fist thing to do is check in with the client and see how the weather has impacting their schedule.  They may say they will be late or ask to reschedule.  It is always best if they are the ones to cancel.  Us as a Realtor only due so if roads are closed or we are too sick to make it.

I enjoy it -  modern technology looks after everything else.  We experience it every year

Hope you are safe, and we have gotten A LOT of snow lately.  One of our ski areas shut down for the day, as employees could not get there.    Some have had 3-4 feet of new snow!
