Manufacturing will return to the USA under President Trump. The cities/towns that land those manufacturing plants will boom.
The Tech companies will move out of overpriced markets like San Francisco. They will look for cities with more affordable housing.

I'd like to see jobs return to the states under Trump. Manufacturing and tech jobs. For too many have gone overseas to the lowest bidder.

Interest rates and being savvy for your area. Cannabis will affect this too

Claudia Cupe Small businesses will start to expand and look for larger facilities. Large businesses will require more leased space for an increase in hiring employees.

Depends on the area - for mine it's commercial contruction/land sales as well as strip mall building/leasing

I was going to say buying and selling and I see others already did! Makes sense to me! I suspect vacancy rates will drop for commercial, at least in our area!

I also vote for buying and selling.

I think in our area, a lot of the apartment complexes that were built a couple of years ago will now convert to condos before the rates go up. As well, I believe that the apartment building will slow down here. We shall see!

I just read an article about this in fact. I think most important will be interest rates up, and foreign investments down. I think there will also be more small business lending from online sources, to appeal to millennial entrepreneurs.

It seems to me that rising interests rate will be something to watch for. Also, there is some unpredicitability in our market because of the election. I agree with Paul Henderson about the first 100 days.

Small business will make a comeback and that should mean more retail and commenrcial space will be needed.

Claudia Cupe - not much into commercial - though it seems it is going to be booming!
And learning from other's answers here - thanks for asking.

A rise in interest rates and balloning mortgages along with vacancy rates!

Commercial trends.
Clearly more cell phone stores, pharmacies and Urgent/Emergency walk-in clinics are on the way. Find and lock up that real estate. Seriously, do we really need another cell phone franchise?
Craft breweries, distilleries and cannabis dispensaries will be looking to churn their cash by investing in entrepreneurial focused real estate like those 'incubators of innovation.'
Many citizens who used their self directed IRA to purchase real estate will find landlording more than they want and will turn to property managers.

It could get interesting! I think it's sort of unpredictable right now.

It may be interesting to see what happens, a lot of people walking around with delusional glasses these days but only one sure winner on the horizon.
