Let me ask you a question, if this same person came to you face to face to tell you their strategic plan would you listen or turn away?  I appreciate any non-proprietary info I can glean through legal means.  I want to know my competition and what they are doing especially if it is successful.  Don't you?

I don't understand - what could you do to terminate another agent's feed, and why would you do it?  It they have really good stuff, maybe I could learn from it? 

I see no reason to take any action, nor terminate the feed (unless I'm finding it annoying).

If they're going to send me revealing/confidential information... I'm going to read it.

There are no secrets in real estate as far as I am concerned, and I know many will didpute that, because they are sure there is some new-fangled thing out there that someone is using that if you had it, you would make a ton of money doing it..It is about practicing the fundamentals over and over again.  A strategy is as good as the one who thought it up and excecutes.  Lots of good ideas, very few executors.  A

Depends. I like seeing what others are doing to consider if I can or should tweak anything. We can always learn new things. Same with mailers, etc.

It depends, if by revealing it means something against them, something they did wrong or are doing wrong, I may read or i may delete. If you mean they have a killer marketing program, i would definitely read and see how it may affect me and how i can top it

If you want to market your business to me that's fine- I will check out your presentation & see if there's anything useful I can borrow from it.

I receive marketing information from my competitors all the time and I assume they receive mine as.

Not sure what the issue here is as long as it's not confidential to a client/customer

I study this kind of thing and think about how I could make good ideas work in my business. Why stick my head in the sand?

I doubt that there is that much marketing marketing material out there that I do not already know of, their secrets are not likely to affect me much.

Read it.  Learn from it.  Why unsubscribe?

I've found over the years that collaboration pays much better than competition.  We sell our products to competitors. 

I will look at it and garner any nuggets I can.

Annette, this is competitive research at it's finest and easiest when your competition sends you their secret sauce.  I've utilized mailed marketing materials sent to me by other agents and made sure I one upped them. 

If it was emailed to you, intentionally and not followed by an "oh no, please delete that", I would freely use and improve upon it.

I always review and compare... I am always looking at improving so I try not to live in my bubble.

I would contact them and thank them for sharing. It would be up to them to take me off the list of contacts if they so desired!

I have a particular agent who always seems to include me on their list.  I have tried to un-subscribe, via email, direct mail and phone.  They said, "oh, don't worry it's all automated."  This made me wonder what potential buyers and sellers will say if they try to un-subscribe.

If someone is sharing useful information with me I would be a poor businessman not to listen and learn what I can.

They are putting it out there for all to see. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but I wouldn't copy it, although I might get ideas from it.
