No, the cold doesn't affect business. It does, however affect comfort! I have an inspection this afternoon when temps are supposed to be 0-10 with wind chill. BRRRR. I'm wearing foot warmers, boots, wool socks, insulated clothing, etc. I don't care what I look like.

The cold slows things down a bit, but the holidays really makes it a challenge. Everyone assumes that no one else is working, which speaking for myself is not quite true.

Ginger,

Not really, cold here is equivalent to someone's cold spring back East.  Of course, we are excluding Florida from this equation.

It does not because weather does not interview with the video open house on demand and they connect the many miles apart the out of state, country buyer is. Some buyers too busy in summer to focus on the purchase but after New Year's glasses clink and dreams turn into plans, we get the call, email, text or office visits. Like the mailman, weather does not deter the motivation to buy if you deliver the product.

Hi Ginger Harper - the cold affects Sedona and AZ in a positive way.  We are a second home, vacation home market mainly because of the beauty and the weather (scorching summers or snowy winters) in other parts of the country.

Last year I had homes in contract and this year I have as well.
