I love content free events with people I want to hang out with. Sometimes you just need to turn off business

I do a lot of stuff that is content free.  So yeah, I'd attend if it was geographically desirable.

Content in a moderate amount. When I go, I want to network and not  sit in chairs listening to stuff that is not super important to me. Usually, I can get that information online more efficiently.

I am for the spontaneity of the moment of all things...Let what comes...come!

#2 if I like the content I will take advantage, if I don't like I just network.

That is what Meet-ups are about, but the door is always open fior networking, so #2 for us!

I am easy to get along with, and okay with either option.

I enjoy networking events and learnig about other services and people and them learning about me.

We enjoy meetups here in SoCal that of course end up delving into real estate matters, but are really just to catch up and enjoy the company of others.

It really depends. I like both. Social gatherings are fun too. AR Meet ups are great ... there may or may not be content ... but they are always fun and a great referral resource.

It all depends on the event.  I have done both 1 and 2 many times.

It would depend on the nature of the event and the attendees.

I have no problems with "content free" meetups.  I used to (and need to get back to) doing hikes and football events at local locations.

Maybe #2 as I would ask questions of others to see how they are working or looking at certain subjects.

I just joined a few groups in SW Florida and enjoyed a few "get to know people" events.

Possibly, but usually I don't have much interest in purely social meet-ups.

Networking is essentail but plan wisely. Sponsor AR meet-ups as much as possible. The attendance in Chicago has been good!

Yes,

I attend Meetups and networking events based on the demographics of the group first, content second. I figure my networking will be the #1 benefit to being there, as long as the group has potential for my business or I bring something to the group that makes me stand out; content is typically a bonus. Occasionally the "content offered" is the draw, but networking is #1 for my business/marketing plan.

Like Joe Pryor , I'm not much for small talk at social events.  Any social event I go to would have some pertinence to my life and/or interests.  I wouldn't go just to meet random people.  I'd like to know going in we have some interests and/or ideals in common.  

There should be content to everything you do or say otherwise is is just small talk that means nothing.

Social meet-ups are great for your business!  No matter which 'room' I'm in, the conversation of real estate is brought up - I don't need content for that!

Enjoy the company - the more people you meet, the farther your reach in this business!

My whole life is Not real estate I meet people socially and because we share similar interests, to get involved with the community for that sake alone, organized sports etc etc etc.

Network is key in our business.
