I use drone photography for large acreages and waterfront homes.

It really depends on the property--size, price point, etc.

Drone photography is very important with acreage property - and yes, it is used for these types of listings.

I offer it, but very few sellers want aerial photos. Larger farms and land are more likey. but there are already numerous sources of aerial photos on line that anyone can access.

No it is not - not for the near future anyway

we use it just for subdivisions now.... 

Not for every listing but I have a photographer who used it for a property where it was appropriate.

No and that's because I primarly list (and live) in restricted air space where I can't fly a drone.  The fines are hefty and many have to be registered with the FAA.

I've never seen you excited then after you attended that drone event! 

It isn't.  Most of my market area is in a federal no fly zone, and most of the homes I sell are in rather densely built neighborhoods.

Not all, just some that it really makes a diference. I have a new drone, now to learn how to use it right to make a difference

If the location and price point warrant it...you bet your drone it is.

When it is appropriate

Depends on the property.  Acreage and commercial definitely.  Our broker has a drone and uses it often. 

It is a wise thing to do with some of the properties in my area. Not the homes in town, but those out of town with views...yes it's a very good idea. I think we are going to start seeing more of it. 

When dealing with land we use many different types of aerial photography.

With 9000 sq. ft. lots as the norm it isn't practical as it will show the junk in the neighbor's yard.

Only on rural property with more than a couple of acres.

No, not at this point. I really haven't had a listing where I thought it made sense, but perhaps that's too narrowminded. But for the right listing...definitely

Yes I do, if the home has mountain views, backs to a golf course or something interesting that could showcase the home.

It depends on the listing. Since some of our listings are expired listings  the house has to be shown from a different angle, put in a different light. We have some where the property is more important than the house so areals are important, or to show how close to the showgrounds a house is or to the bridle paths, etc.
