We celebrate on Christmas Eve and have had pizza that night since I was a child.    I typically go to a movie(or two) on Christmas Day.  

I embrace the day for what it is ... and I do not participate in all the consumerism.  

HIke the mountain behind our home with fun Christmas Hats and candy for the little ones.  There is a tree half way up that all the locals decorate so I've contributed to the tree for many years.  It's really quite shocking to come around the bend and see a tree all decorated and festive on a hill in the desert!!!

Christmas morning breakfast since I was very young!

Our tradition was always to spend Christmas Eve just the two of us (a dog or two included!), with a special dinner, and the opening of 'one' gift.  Then on Christmas Day we always went to Grandma's house or to family, and made at least 3 food dishes and brought gifts, and a Hostess Gift.  Now that we live in a state with no family, we either do things with our neighbors, or I do a special meal just for us, or we go out to a Christmas Buffet.  Some of the wonderful folks in our age-restricted community are no longer here, so what we did a few years ago, has changed.  I'm flexible now, so nothing is written in stone Ginger Harper.  I'm excited to hear your Christmas Tradition, though, and hope that you will share . . .

Often there will be a movie seen in a theater, if anything is worth the money.  There is always a good buffet dinner (and many weeks of agonizing over which one to pick).

We have our own little family dinner and afterwards, exchange one gift. The next day, our house is filled with family and friends so, we always love having the boys 'to ourselves' the night before!

Having all four kids together is special, especially as they are older and more scattered.

My life took some major changes about three years ago. We are still establishing new traditions.

I get a tree and deck the halls.  And my tradition is becoming a sort of Undecorating the Tree party at the end of the season.  

I buy Massachusetts scratch tickets for each person who celebrates Christmas Eve at my house....each one gets $50 worth of tickets.... we always have some little winners.... they love it....you can hear a pin drop in the room where they're scratching the tickets....and there are usually 10 people....

Have friends over for a breakfast brunch.

Christmas Mass is always good.

Several friends go to dinner, then to a church service on Christmas Eve.
