When the tagging option doesn't work for me, and it often does not, I have two solutions. First is cut the sentences you have already typed, which will save them to your clipboard. Then enter the @without anything else on the page, and when the name pops up, accept it, and then control paste your already typed content that you cut.

Second option, use a tab window, "find" the person's blog in AR, copy that link to your clipboard then use the link button after highlighting the name and enter the URL there like you would any ordinary link.

Debbie, I am not sure if this is my browser but I haven't had a dashboard with all the important locations to go to for months after the major overhaul. Does everyone have the easy to use dashboard from last summer that was so easy to navigater through AR?

It takes two to three steps just to get to the blog roll or my homepage. Very non-user friendly.
