The higher intest rate will cause buyer to freak out. However, it will be evolutionary.  The local economy is 3rd highest GPD globably at $80K per capital. If we fail locally the rest of the US will be back to Great Recession....

It shifts and changes all the time, if you are not ready to adopt to it you lose. Look what we went through from 2006-2011 and we are still here.

What will be, will be. People will always need a roof over their head.

It should be interesting to see what happens.  There is one theory that the election has already been factored in to the business. 

Interest rates have been inching up for about a month now. The market has also started to shift.  Am I ready?  You bet!

There will always be changes. 

Interest rates will go higher regardless of the election.

That's already happening in San Diego since summer, except rates. We may see an emotional response in November, but the actual affect likely won't happen until December when the Fed meets.

Seems it is already shifting in my market.  And Short Sales never went away...so I've been in constant experience mode there.  Ready for whatever is next.

It takes about 3 weeks after interest rates rise before no one cares again.

Bring it on.

We have to be VB.

Whoever gets elected on Tuesday, there is no way that interest rates can stay this low.

A raise in the PRIME rate the feds charge banks will be the spark that starts another real estate boom, this time not based on Bank of Americas fake money. A predetermined prime rate triggers a situation where banks must pay the feds for money they hold in excess of mandatory reserves. Right now the banks are being PAID not to lend, not to release the money.

As history has repeatedly shown, consumers do not respond to the circumstances most favorable to them.

Time will tell

We will see. Don't look for that big a change in the near term!

It is already shifted and i adapt as needed to stay on top. The low rates are propping up the economy, take out that prop and look out
