we've never had a problem with know and tube as long as the cloth is not frayed and the ceramic interruptors where in good shape....
maybe a local institution who may hold some of their loans in-house...

I suggest you contact a licensed Texas insurance broker or whatever they are called in Texas since they should be familiar with those types of issues. One located in the Heights area or other areas with knob and tube wiring may have encountered such issues.
Sorry, I can't help. This has been an issue in my market from time to time as well. I've been fortunate enough to have my own insurance broker usually find me a "specialty" broker who will insure odd things--for a price, of course.

Chubb does a great job with old houses here - we have a bunch of them. But not sure they have knob and tube wiring.

Well they can get some coverage but with exclusions and riders. That stuff has to be brought up to code or it becomes an expensive keepsake
