JM... You're doing great!  You only need another 50,000 points to free status.   Writing engaging posts will get the post comments and points.  In reality, though, you should be more concerned with writing consumer oriented content to generate business.  Write for the consumer in your market area, so they know YOU are the local market expert. Points here will get you NO business, unless it is a referral from an agent.   Blog on!

Obtaining points isn't that difficult.  

Consistency matters.

I find the more rewarding aspects of this forum are the networking, the education and the contacts I have received.   

The biggest surprise is the relationships that I have formed whether they are of the virtual variety or in-real-life.  

By regular basis do you mean at least 10 blogs per week, 20 comments per day, another 20 Q&A questions per day, a re-blog per day, enter contests and invite others to join.

Contests and inviting very active people are the two items I don't see in your list that are available.

Without those two items, I manage 32k points per month on my own and earn about 40k per month between my posts and comments/likes/upvotes/etc.  I'm at 480k and I only got started last November with a point focus and I was at 30k points then!  It does take the 10 blogs/wk, 20 Questions and 20 blog comments/day for 7 days a week (sometimes at 11pm) to get there.  You should have no trouble getting to the free mark in the next 2 months if you hussle.

Lots of great comments here.  It's all about the engagement for me. Leave comments that engage the community ... You are doing great. 

Sounds like you are doing most everything available except maybe inviting others to post and then receiving points for their participation.

Blog till you drop:) Why are your points so important? If you have 100,000,000 will it bring you more business happiness or just the joy of bragging rights?

I average about 12,000+ points/week.....I don't do anything differently than you....I do post everyday....mondays are 11-12 posts....have alot to say after a weekend.... the rest of the weekdays are 1-3 posts/day....I usually have 2 or 3 new followers a day.... that all adds up

Participate in contests. Answer questions. Unless someone is getting a ton of points through accepted invitations, we all have the same ability to generate a similar number of points.

However you aren't going to make friends and gain followers trashing other brands on your blog posts.  

Blog for the consumer, not for points!  The consumer puts money in your pocket, points don't!  Love Carol Williams' answer! 

Invite others, participate in contests, engage with other members( all likes and comment count). Good luck.

I think you got great answers here- the contests are really useful for getting more points and the 20/20 each day add a lot to your point total AND let you meet and learn from some really good people.

Particpating in contests is the best way to get large chunks of points at a time. This month alone if you enter all the contests you will get an additional 5500 points. Do this every month and they will add up fast.

I am new, but it looks like commenting on other blogs and questions. Following others and using the website as it was intended - an exchange of ideas.

You're likely seeing people who have invited lots of others --- if you invite someone to AR, and they contribute a lot, the person who invited them gets 10% of the points, too.

 JM Padron, CCIM your real close to 500,000!  Everyone has answered with great ideas.  Inviting others to AR is a good idea for passive points. (something I should do also.)  Good luck!

Those other agents that go up in points without doing much, probably have referred several members that are active. Keep doing what you are doing. It's really not about the points, but SEO and getting business. 

It sounds like you're doing things right. Every time you follow someone, they may recipricate and follow you, giving you more points.  When they start commenting on your blogs and liking them, more points will follow.  Keep it up.

Study the points schedule.

Invitations get you "royalty" points from those you invite; contests are good too. If you do good blogs, others follow you - 50 points.

IMO just do what you're doing and don't worry about others

If you are very active you should be able to earn 30,000 points in a month with completing the contests.

I have not invited anyone but that is a good way to get points.

I think you have gotten everything from everyone already here.  The contests are a great way to earn lots of points, commenting on blogs, answering questions, blogging etc.  The biggest thing though isn't about the points, it's more about the calls you will be getting from the interesting content you post.  Good luck!
