I give out their number to all the telemarketers that call me:

"I can't talk now, but here...call my cell in an hour." 

It happens form time to time and I chalk it up to them being new and not knowing this is not going to be well received. I called one person out on this and he was offended and asked me how was he to get the word out about his business. I told him to blog about it and build relationships and then he would be asked about his business and it would open doors for him. He just faded away and never blogged at all.

I do let them know that I do not appreciate it and ask that they please remove me from their spam list.

No one spams the SEO guy - Except maybe other SEO guys..  lol

I don't have many more points - but that would bug me too!

I've found the relationships here are "way more" worth cultivating than spamming..  

BTW, is this a bad time to share a video of what I do?

I just smile and chuckle to myself, knowing that someone is going to be educating this poor soul very soon.

It annoys me like mad. And when that happens I send a note to the culprit suggesting they don't do it again.

Yes, annoying is the way I feel too!  Instead of wasting my time writing them back, I just hit the delete button!

Obviously they didn't read the rules, did they? Nope, I don't like it either. They don't even have to be brand new, unless I ask for information, please don't send it.

I don't understand why people think networking is only about selling me something ... when you build a relationship with a person and get to know them, you will then want to know more about what they do for a living and look for ways to build upon the relationship by telling others about them ... but that happens in time.  I too am offended on this and other sites I'm on when the first contact is just to sell me.  NOT!

Ignore them as I would with junk mail.

I got that loan guy's email too.  Annoying for sure, but a quick "delete" and I'm on to eating Mediterranean Mint Gelato.

I do not like it and I report that crap to ActiveRain.

Just click report a spammer. It happens all the time & I've just ignored it.

Better yet is when newbs post links to all their stuff in a comment or answer.

I simply responded - 'Not Interested' and made it a strong point to show my displeasure for this 'act'!

Un-friend that person. I had one harrassed me. I sent his comments to Support. Bob wrote back said his account was closed. 

I have seen this, too, and it's people that I don't actually 'follow' back.  Maybe they are into, 'it's a numbers game', and the more people they 'follow', the more chance they have of someone being interested in them?  I always thank people for 'following me', and those are the only scenarios where I do not 'follow' back, as I'm not interested.  I hear you Carla Muss-Jacobs, Principal Broker (503) 810-7192.

Just block that person. Unless they got your direct email and have no ''unsubscribe'' option. 

I generally send a link to their profile to Bob@activerain.com and they get the axe with a quickness.

There's a spam folder for that and an unfollow button too.

Delete, report as spam.

That's just wrong.  I am soo soo soo tired of being solicited; thank heavens for the block button on my phone - although spammers multiply at an amazing rate, I still feel as if I am doing something to block them. 

I report them and they are soon gone.

I just report the "spam" unfollow and hope for the best

Just tell them you are not interested in a nice way.

I can block emails so I rarely get a second one from the same person.

Report, report and report to have them banned
