Many people swear they don't use scripts but I've found they've been doing this for so long they no longer realize that what they say now, once was a script but it has now just become 2nd nature!  It flows because they've said it all before, many many times.  There are many scripts out there and you can follow them to the letter or customize them to help you feel more comfortable.  The important part is to learn them, learn to overcome objections and to make it seem like a flowing conversation.  Good luck. 

PS  Personally I've never liked the idea of cold calling and have never done it.

I would suggest against using cold call scripts. Just call, introduce yourself and IF they are still on the phone ask for business. The shorted your sales pitch, the better.

You've gotten a range of answers here, Jody. Seasoned agents often don't use any script but if you want one just be sure to keep it fresh, listen to your customer and match his or her style in speaking.

I've never been a fan of scripts.  You only need an opening lead-in introduction and offer... and let the conversation flow from there.

 I detest scripts... it's equivalent to canned postcards and canned blog posts.... everyone's seen them and heard them,... that creates the hangup....

and I never liked cold calling....

Look up on Youtube..... Lots out there. The real issue is phone # are mostly wrong and people will not pick up or block your call.  There are also text msg servcie for a steep fee so people actually look at the text msgs instead of delete as one does with any  solicitation calls rec'd.
