I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that there are many that should LEAVE this business...

As the market improves, the number of licensees goes up... too bad the professional competence didn't too.

As there is a monthly meeting at the local board it seems they are always full but after a few years not that many still with their license.

I have a friend that is teacher and her classes at real estate school are filled. To bad 85% will not be in the business in 5 years.

Harry F. D'Elia - there are always some who feel attracted to the business when market is hot!

Yes, there seems to be a few more this year. Most will probably drop out within a couple years.

There are a couple of companies that hire zillions and few make it past their first year.

OH goodness YES! Nearly every week I run across another 'brand new agent' bringing a buyer - asking the most basic of questions! Sadly, for this very reason, I'm looking forward to the next correction!

I took a licensing class a few months ago, half the room were investors like myself, after discussing the restrictions that a license puts on investors I am not sure how many will apply for the license.
Though I passed the test easily, still not sure if or when I will apply, but will likely get rid of my rentals first.

There will be more than 1.2 million NAR members by the end of the year so numbers are going up just about everywhere.

Huge increase. The last time we had this many local licensees was during the great boom - which was followed shortly after by the great crash.

it's been consistent since the market began gaining strength....many will fade away at the next correction.... and the balance will tank when the market tanks again....

CT is already oversaturated. Not sure more are coming onstream; our market is not super hot.

In our area there have been a lot of new agents coming in and I do believe it is ahead of past years.

Always here, non-stop. We have the largest Assoc. in the country and half of them are well.....

It's crazy around here. Everybody and their mom are getting their license. At first it bothered me, but then I started recruiting more.

I hope not. Actually CA has been in decline for many years. With the internet technology there are still way too many agents.
The help is on the horizon, Apple, Google offers $70K to interns 3 free meals a day, 7 days a week. At Apple 20 some year old intern gets paid even more(80K). You get a free massage at work.
Any brokerage will offer free meals? Will you get a free massage from your broker? Playing Tokemen Go all day long....
