yes, you could be racked up in a hospital on life support and lose everything you have worked your entire life for because you cannot pay the medical bills. 

Hopefully your insurance will take care of the car ... and the ticket too ... your premium may likely be increased.  At least you can still work and earn an income to pay for it.  

May your days ahead be better.

It is an extreme hassle which requires bumming rides, getting a rental car or staying home. The hit to the pocketbook even with good insurance stings.

Health issues are a bigger hassle in my opinion!

That is a double whammy.

I can think of things that could be far worse...

Exponentially more hassle and resulting damage for every 5 mph thereafter. It's possible that the opportunity to pay a ticket may escape you.

If no-one got hurt, count your blessings and deal with the hassle.

Yes, life has more challenges than this.

That ranks very high on my hassle scale. 

The last time, the other driver got the ticket.  She was yapping on her cell phone and tried to make a left turn from the right land.  I stopped her.  It wasn't pretty, but if I'd gotten a ticket I would have been pretty irate!

Wow...that sounds like a really bad day.

You bet; if you also injured or killed the other party involved in the accident.

On my way to the meetup in Malibu my car got rear ended the same way.  By back is screwed, I can hardly walk any distance or stand for a long length of time w/o it seizing up.  My neck isn't doing too good either!  Been working with a physical therapist and a doctor for the last month or more.  Very slow go.

i feel for you - hasn't happened to me in a long time - although I did get stopped not long ago and gave the cop my card LOL

Getting the car properly repaired is also a challenge.

Its hard to own a nice car in the city
