Yes I agree but my first question is what time frame are you talking? Long ago? 2 years?  I would say that when AR was bought by T we took an exceptional nose dive - I would say even tank.

I think it all depends on what you write, how you write it. There are a few basics that I see many people miss - heck, even I do after doing this forever. In my WP site I have an SEO plug in that asks me 'pick a keyword' phrase.

Then, is it in the title? It it in the meta descript? Is it in the body? 

It really does make a difference. In fact in another Q today, people were fighting about linking - check that out also.

The Hollinden Team Google changes their algorithms all the time. It's hard to keep up with it. AR doesn't have the Google Juice anymore.

There are some that profess to know what Google is doing ... I don't believe it. Here's to better rankings on your AR posts.

Barbara Todaro has a great answer, but finding the algorithms will most likely be a challenge!

I think that one can bow to the Google gods if they wish so that the bots can find them.  There are many ways to do that, and you can find great answers here.  

On the other hand, what would be interesting is to poll people as whether they read the posts and what they think of the posts, and will they subscribe and read on?  Or will they be turned off?  

Who are you selling real estate to the bots?  Or those who buy real estate.  The majority of our clients do not write blogs, and they still are making mid to high 6 figure incomes and some are in the 7 figure income category...A

write according to what Google's algorithms want and they change all the time....

Definitely noticed this a few months ago. We're using Google+ to help, but it's still not what it used to be.

Depends on what Google's doing, how you're writing your content, what is being searched on and what others are writing.  Along with authority of sites and a whole mess of other factors.

Take a hard look at your content.

It may be best to hire an expert to assist you

It is all about content, backlinks, keywords and getting signals from other social media sites, e.g., sharing, likes, time on the site, etc. Focus on your content and make it very valuable and share it.

It looks like you are writing for Google algorithms, and they now take away points for stuff they used to reward.  You might have too much Louisville - it such a thing is possible!

I agree with Barbara and would add that I would think that the experts would be running ActiveRain so, I would imagine that they are working on this!  

I haven't checked on my stuff recently. I'll have to make some time to do that.
