There are a number of ways to gain points without doing alot of blogging - Q and A, inviting others, commenting, etc.  Contests often offer lots of points so a few of those can add up

Yes it has changed over time. Points come from many activities and posting blogs is just one of them. Many points can accumulate if the members logs on and comments or invites other members to sign up.

Blogging can reward you with about 10,000 points per month whereas you can earn as much as 50,000 points every month.

I've never understood why people only choose to comment - it's the posts that earn us the calls from buyers and sellers!

They may have deleted some blogs.

They may be maxing out on comments and answers.

Their blog posts may be "contest posts" where you get 1000 to 3000 points just for showing up.

Some agents just log in everyday, and over time, it adds up.

They must comment an awful lot.

It changes often.

But 1K in points does not take any blogging, just setting up your profile will get you that many points.

I'm not following you...unless you have a typo.  Getting 1000 pts is not a big deal.  If you meant 100,000, there are many ways, including inviting people.

It is much easier to earn points than it was several years ago. Yes the point system has changed. 

Yea it has.  It used to take almost a year for 50,000 points and now it takes a bit over one month or so

I've seen this guys numbers too.  It's funny to see someone having so much fun accomplishing nothing.

Yes.  You used to get points for receiving an answer to a question.  Post a good or hot button question, and you could easily get a few hundred points.  I think I got my first 15-20k just from Q&A (both asking and answering) and logging on each day.

Plus, if they invited 50 prolific members, the 10% of points can add up over time.

There are many ways to collect points but I have yet seen anyone redeem them.

Also, I know some AR's that have gained substantial points from active AR's they invited - you get 10% of their points so you can do quite well if you invite someone who is very active

Well there is also that little thing about if you sign people up a portion of their points go toward yours. Don't know really how that works maybe an Ambassador will show up.

I wonder that too sometimes OR comment points maybe.

There have been modifications over the years, but not all that radical.  Some of these members may have lots of comment and sign in points throughout the years.

The points system has changed many times. It is more liberal now. 

I've seen members who do not post at all, yet, they have a lot of points. My best guess: a lot of invited members who blog massively( those 10%).

Lots of commenting, logging in, Q & A and not much blogging.

Maybe they comment a lot. You get quite a few points for signing up and filling out a profile completely. 

Over 100 thousand?  Took me a while!  I see members with a high number of points then nothing... just stopped.  No activity for a year or so.  I'm not sure about changes in the point system.
