I have to. I've got folks tryin to pass me !

Most people really do; watch how many points those who claim they dont care about points earn.  And how upset they get about others who do this and that "just for the points".

People care, but most are embarrassed to admit it.

The issue came up at an Eastern meetup last year about heavy earners on AR who claim to not care about points, yet do everything possible to earn the max.

I will admit that there are many who do not care, but AR was built on competitive people who do care about these things, and their dominance in the RE social media world depends on this competition and the things we do to earn them.

It was refreshing a while back when I got a call from a multi millionaire here concerned about points for recent meetups and a contest, and getting them before someone passed her. 

It brought a smile to my face as I thought, "how refreshingly honest".

It's right there in your face, hard to not see it

How can you miss it? It's right there staring you in the face!

I know I did when I noticed I was getting close to a million points but not now.  I think it is important to those striving towards a FREE membership though.

I do. That's because I've set a personal point goal for myself. It's just a goal between me, myself and I. This is one of the ways I have fun on AR. 

Are you referring to looking at the Leaderboard?

   I look at it daily.

The only way I look at my points is to see if I am making progress against the #1 slot in the state of VA taken by Lenn Harley.  The distance between us used to be just under 500,000 points.  Her lead is narrowing, but only because she disappeared...I have no illusions about that.  

If I cared more I'd enter the contests and max out my points every day.  The points just aren't that important after a while.

It's pretty hard to miss when you go to your home page. I do pay attention when points have not been awarded for a contest.

I do! Not that they are worth anything, but I have typed a bunch of posts and comments to earn them.  They do not come easy!

I'm sorry to say that I do. I find it's a measurement of my participation.

I do... I keep track of how many points I need per month to reach FREE status before my next renewal.

I do, I have my eyes set on the 500k free account, topping my county and being in the top 100 of my state (currently at 101).

Not each day, but I still want my free account.

Only when we're closing in on a milestone.

Hard not to pay attention. Think it was a focus for the first 500,000 more so than now.

I do not look for it but it shows up on home page.

I do :-) Not only my points. I look at my ranking.  I'm slowly moving up & have many more points before reaching the 500,000 mark.

I have no iodea..I never look at points.

Oh, I glance once in a while. 

No interest in the points. I see the totals when I go to My Home because they are on the page. The only "stat" I keep up with at this stage is number of followers. 

I dont count the money in my wallet nor my AR points but I know they are there...

I see the points under my avatar when I am on the system but cannot say I am doing any real comparisons are analyzing how to make them spike.

i stopped 2 months after i joined maybe one month. but all good

I see the stats and numbers ... however I am not counting. 

Not everyday, but I do check it out on occasion.

Never thought about it.  I notice when I sign on because it's right there but it's not like you win anything.

The other day I accidently did because I was looking for a past comment I posted on something a few days ago. I find that the easiest way to go back & check where I've been so to speak.

Many days I barely have time to check in much less worry about the day's point total.

I look at them for the month.... never the total for the day....
