They may be great for a property website, virtual tour or video montage, but a complete waste of time for the sacred 25 photos we're allowed for our MLS. Realtors & consumers alike get mad when key features are left out for shots like this. Lead with the kitchen, baths, living spaces and so forth; the things we can't see from the street or Google Maps, we use photos to decide on whether or not to tour so be smart, not artsy.

I mean, seriously? MLS pictures need to show off a house, yard, rooms, not furniture and personal items.

I like the photos but of course I'd need to see all the others that are included with this listing. Sometimes it is nice to have endless room shots broken up with some lifestyle shots. I'd doubt these were the only 2 photos of the listing

I think they are more editorial than what people expect to find in the multiple listing. They might not be effective in the mls(of course we can input up to 99 photos in ours) but I don't have an issue with these photos when used along with others.

I do not think pictures like that are at all beneficial.
The pictures should show the house and property features only. My husband, who is not in real estate, has been perusing lots and lots of online photos of listings in a different state. His comments are very enlightening. "What the he!! is this picture for?" he will say of a picture like one of the ones above. And pictures of people! Blurry pictures. Pictures of a piece of furniture. Pictures of a parcel map with no outline or indication of which parcel is for sale. Pictures of a toilet. Geez.

I guess it is about how many pictures slots you want to use. If your MLS offers 99 of them, you can play and have fun with downloading every pillow and vase....
I guess you can even recycle them since...it is just a pillow after all, it is not really coming with the house:)

Good morning Inna,
I just noticed a listing this morning and there is one picture of the home and all the others are of the owners riding, washing and petting the horses. I was a bit confused as to what was being sold. It could benefit the listing if it shows the amenities and life style.

They must have hired a professional that is not aware what is needed in selling a home. It looks like what you would learn in photography class. It may have been a relative that took some classes.

I think they would be great for a flyer or a brochure to invoke a sense of living in the space. Like others have said, the MLS typically doesn't allow too many photos so these would just take up valueable space that could be used to show off some other feature of the home.
