My answers depend on the question asked.  And my mood.  Plus a meteor shower or two.

This section is quick.  It has given me the opporturnity to "meet" some members I may not have encountered otherwise.    I'm not much of a fan of long questions or those with multiple parts.

This forum has a membership that is quite knowledgeable.  And clever too. I believe I have gained an insight of people who I might readily refer as well as those I have eliminated from ever wanting to have any interaction.

There is certainly an element of silliness here as well as some very thoughtful questions and answers.  It's good.  Not perfect.  But good.  I like it overall.

Not point driven, and get so tired of people saying that.

I think it is a place for people to blow off a bit of steam, visit a bit, and perhaps learn something from time to time.

Basic water cooler activity.

I read and answer the good questions. I give valuable answers. I come here to learn and most of the time I do. There are occasional silly or funny questions and I answer in kind if the mood strikes me. Overall I think most post here to grow, some for points and a few to spam.

It depends, some are point driven, and some are not.  Personally, we try to give the best answers possibile.  I really don't keep score.  I would rather pet my cat or go for a walk.  A

I give my answers an 11 on a scale of 1-10!  I find this section fun, relaxing and worthwhile.  It's how I got known initially and how I've met... umm... well everyone I've met on AR.  It's also the reason I joined as a paying member.

There are many people that actually give great answers & try to help.

There are others that I don't think even read the question but give an obscure answer.

I've asked technical questions & really didn't get much help but then I'm not sure this is the correct forum for that & went to FB for help.

Just the other day I checked out domain costs from answers here as I think people are getting ripped off big time by GoDaddy.

There was also a good post on how to legally proceed on a grey area which also gets you thinking. How would I handle this in my area?

I appreciate all answers and replies, whether they were a one-liner, one paragraph, or one word.  These days I have not asked many questions, though I have in the past, and it seems now I'm responding back to other's questions John DL Arendsen!  When I have asked questions, people were very informative and I learned from their input.  I also enjoyed getting to know people in a different way, and saw a sense of humor, as well as experience and knowledge that was shared.  When I give an answer, I try to go from my personal experience and/or what I have seen happen as being part of a Team.  I probably write more than I should (I should keep it brief), though I do think about the question and answer it to the best of my ability, or I move on!

I don't think most are point driven. Many are just for fun, while some seek real information. Some are admittedly pretty inane as are the answers. Vast subject here. If a Q is serious and I feel I have a helpful answer, I respond in as much detail as possible given the forum.

Q&A is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.   Often I leave thinking if you want better answers, ask better questions, and that's all I've got to say about that.  If people are on Q&A for points, in my opinion they are truly scraping for every point they can get, cause there isn't much to gain from that.  Personally, I come to learn and contribute if I think I have something of value to add.
