I live in a military town where the summer is the busiest time of the year. We do see some dropoff after school starts.

Hi Harry - We have a traditional lull in August - it's usually our slowest month - as people finish vacations and get ready for school, and then things pick up again about mid-September until Thanksgiving.

Less listings of families.

this month has been quiet compared to previous months of the summer....it's the last hoorah.... it will pick up again once school starts and I'll do a mass mailing that will go in the mail the last day of August....landing after school starts....

Business traffic slows down. Less buyers looking, fewer homes on the market.

Actual traffic (vehicles) increases!

There's definitely an increase in school buses. 

Always. Our schools ( LASD) are about to start next week. It will definitely add more traffic in certain hours.  

Around the schools it does, especially the first few weeks until the helicopter parents realize their kids are ok.

Maybe a slight short slowdown ... my market remains pretty hot. 

 The busy season is in April and May.

I live about 2 miles from the schools so traffic is challenging and busy during school opening and closing hours.

Traffic changes big time! We have 4 schools (middle, and elementary) within a 1.5 mile radius and only 1 main road to access them.

The buses are like clowns getting out of a car!

Slight increase morning and afternoon...then there are those crazy soccer mom's with fire in their eyes on a mission of destruction in their oversized SUVs. Ugh!

Definitely increases.

Silicon Valley has full employment w/o school buses. Now I see why few want to commute. Constipated.

A major layoff helps. Nothing is in the horizon yet.

Road traffic, yes.  Website traffic - not much of a diff.

It increases during rush hour.

Yes, I have noticed on my morning walks that there are more cars on the road in the early morning hours since I walk near one of the local high schools.

Its noticeable. Its like a herd of animals. They leave a trail wherever they go

After kids are back and school and the last hurrah of Labor Day week-end activity always picks up!

It increases throughout the city.

Where I now live, it stays the same. In the past, traffic always increased! New experience!

The type of buyers change. When the kids get out of school, we have a rush for those looking to be in a home before they go back. In a typical year summer slows and fall can be as busy as the spring market
