Hi Anonymous, do you have a name? If you are new, have you filled out your AR profile? That would be the first thing to do before you worry about where to post and where to link. 

You post your original content on your own website WP blog first. Then you wait until it is indexed, then you post that content to your AR blog. You can use the same content, that is fine. Google bots don't look at your content on AR as you owning the domain - they know that AR owns the domain, so sometimes your content will come up first, and sometimes AR blog content will come up first. I really don't care, as long as it is my content with my contact information . Katerina 

Checking with Mimi is a good idea. I bet Nestor & Katerina Gasset  (Katerina) has some thoughts, too. Most people I have heard talk about this seem to suggest posting on your blog first, and then perhaps a post on the topic on AR (not duplicate) linking to the original article

It is best to post to your WP site, let it index, and then post to AR. Here is a post I did on the indexing and order of it.

Also, Karen Whitaker, you will find that people are more responsive when the question is not Anonymous and they are dealing with a 'real' person. There's nothing you are asking, especially as a new member, that should make you want to not let people know who you are. And then the funny thing is, when you make a comment, you can't make that Anonymous, so it kinda blows the cover. LOL So welcome and ask and find out everything you need to know to succeed, but let us see your darling smile.

I hate it when people have a short intro and include a link to their website.  It comes across as a little bit manipulative.  Just write a great post here.

It's my understanding that AR has a lot more authority with Google than your site is likely to have. Post it here with links back to relevant content, like IDX search pages, on your site.

There are many theories on what is best to do and it changes from time to time.  Some of the experts in this area may provide the current version of the answer.

I would write a post on your website, then write a completely new post on activerain and link it back to your website.

Good question. I had to scroll down and read the answers. I wasn't sure which order was the best and hadn't given it much thought until now.

Blog on your own site first and always. Write a companion article here on ActiveRain and link back to your original article on your own site. Do not copy/paste...you do not want Google to have to choose which article it prefers to rank as the authority article. We should always want consumers to end up on a site we control, not somewhere else (here included).

There are multiple blogs on how to do it.  I suggest you use your real name blog it and we help you to improve it. 

Needing your name, phone #, website, license # with a photo.

If you can change up your content some so it will not be a carbon copy it will be better for you. Backlinking on both will get your posts more exposure.
