I made a plan several years ago about how many posts per week on various topics, for instance, 3 localism posts, 3 market reports or area specific, 2 general real estate, and the rest on anything I felt like writing about from fun topics to stuff happening in the news to my day to day challenges. Now it just falls into place.

Dont.  I've been too busy to get in more than 1-2/week recently, and I'd rather do 1-2 quality blogs than 7-8 half-assed ones.  Lots of folks can put together high volumes of quality material, I'm not one of them, it takes me time to put together something decent enough to publish

My strategy is to NOT write 10 posts a week and not worry about it.  Instead I focus on writing 1 epic post per month that will rank well and get continued traffic.  That gets me way more than 30 average posts per month.

I don't usually do 10 posts to my blog per week. Sometimes I'll get in eight or nine, but rarely 10. Although I usually do get in one per day. I have a schedule of when I do market reports on various neighborhoods and segments of my market. That helps me to be consistent and to get posts written.

I know I have from Monday until Sunday night to write my blogs.  After trying to write them all on Sunday happens a few times, I have learned to spread them out during the week.  I am commited to 10, so I try to have at least 6 done by Friday evening.  That leaves 2 per day over the weekend.

It's on my Thursday calendar every week and I consider it the most important thing I have to do that week.  Mine are 9 market blogs and either a blog on local events or listings.  Those are all easy to do and the entire process takes at most 45 minutes.

When I used to be able to do 10 posts a week, it boiled down to two things.

1.  Have a long list of topics that can generate business results.  

2.  Budget the time for it on your calendar.  Make it the day's top priority.

We rarely hit that many - 3-5 a week is more doable for us. The only time we hit 10 in a week is when we have lots of activity on our listings - closings, under contracts, price reductions, new listings, etc - because each of those events is a blog.

I don't do my own that much per week, but the ones I write for my clients, I will schedule as many as I can in advance - sometimes we go over the 10 some times just under.

Depends how much ammunition we have to write about :)
