4 years, I did not upgrade to W10 either.
My tech nerd told me about a month ago it has 'xxx' hours. I asked if that meant like my car had 500K miles & he said yes.

I got this laptop when I got my new knees, which was a little over three years ago. It's a small MacBook Air.

I'm almost embarrassed to say... but I've had mine 8 years. I've had to do a couple of factory resets (after backing everything up) and it keeps on working so I'm sticking with it.

I had a Toshiba laptop for 8 years and worked it to death. Traded it in six months ago for an all-in-one with a big screen and love it. Have a little laptop I travel with.

The android notebook I'm using - I've had about 2 years. Our big laptop, cd / dvd player and all is about 6 years old and works great. Neither has all the bells and whistles of the newer laptops.

I think this is a record...I used to kill PC's regularly regardless of the cost...my MacBook has survived a year and a half !

A good three years I think, it's still doing everything I need it to do and I didn't convert to Windows10 neither.

Apple MBP with flash memory for 3 years. Whjat I love about Apple is the length of time you can keep one and the lack of problems with the operating system.

I use iMac desktop and iPad, the combo works fine. a MacBook is fine too.
If you arte windows person, there is a tool that makes a complete windows system as a separate machine on your mac so that you can wsitch back-and-forth. After using this set up for many years, I use the windows seldom now and only use it for ONE application (stock trading application) that refuses to port to Mac!

Generally mine go for 2 to 4 years, but the current Toshiba will not last that long, after the first month I was ready to replace it. Time to go back to Dell.

Using two. Newer HP solid state memory lighter.
Another one is older Dell with internet explorer for one lender who will not want to improve its browser or go with the flow. That one age is ?.
