I have gotten to the point that sometimes I pull up next to them at a stop light, pick up my camera as though I am taking a photo of them texting. I can't tell you the number of times people have thrown their phones on the floor next to them.
But to have their name on their car, just plain dumb. And on the freeway, infuriating.

I saw a TV show just 2 wks ago about a European country (might be Belgium) that requires a course in how to text and drive. Get this: the lesson is a "practice test" in which they drive a simple obstacle course while texting. They must maintain a certain speed (something like 40 m.p.h.), turn left, drive between markers, etc. The instructor says to go ahead, he will help with spelling, etc and the student is to text a specific phrase. If the driver hit an orange cone, the instructor would say, "what if that had been a person?" The students all failed (which was the point of it): they couldn't stay safe on the road no matter what they did, and every one at the end concluded that texting while driving was going to end in death or damage. Some even threw their cell phones onto the floor of the car. It was brilliant reverse psychology. I wish everyone had to take such a "test".

Makes me crazy when I see this happening and I resent anyone endangering me on a freeway. What can't wait for a few minutes?

I read someplace that distracted drivers are killing themselves and other drivers at a higher rate than drunks. Oh, and it's a bad idea to drive drunk in a car with your logo all over the place! Actually, bad driving is bad with or without signage.

Most people don't get that the far left lane (a.k.a. "the fast lane") is for passing. Stay out of it otherwise and certainly get off the darn phone! There should be a cube in each car in which phones are placed and it locks in place, so everyone remains hands free.

I would never drive on a freeway at 10 miles below the speed limit - 10 miles over, yes.
I would also not drive on a freeway and text.
So there's no way I could even try to actually answer that question!

No ... if you want to text, pull over -- take care of your important message -- and then get back on the road. Do not Text and Drive! Your Life and the Life of Others depends on it. It will never be worth your life or your reputation. Just DON'T Do It!

We would not do that Paul, nor would we have our name or logo on our car. You can really tell when someone is on the phone, they do slow down..crzy. A

If I drive at speed in slow lane I will be pushed off the road and get run over.
In fast lane I image I will get cursed at.... CHP will stop me... BRE, ripoff report etc.

Out here it would be illegal to text and drive. Doing it while having your name plastered all over your vehicle, equally dumb. That's why I don't have any identificaiton on my vehicle.

Texting and driving is against the law in Tennessee. I am constantly needing to send a text and pulling off the road to do it safely.
2,224,473
That would never happen to me. I'm not that stupid.
I've thought about having signage on my car, but it's probably better if I don't.

Ten miles an hour slower than the speed limit in the fast lane will get you run over in my area. ;-)
Caught texting will cost you $$$. It is never worth it to risk ours or others lives by not being attentive when behind the wheel.

Having the names of the company and your website and cell number on the car sure makes the driving performance important. It also makes us easy to trace. I hate making a driving mistake or having road rage when others can see who I am. Sometimes we forget that we are a driving advertisement.

There's a pending law in NJ that drivers will no longer be able to drink coffee while driving. And I find this laughable because we still haven't been able to control texting while driving even several years after the law was passed.

See, that's why I don't want my name on my car door. Not that I drive like an idiot but others do.
I have yet to see a cop pull anyone over for texting.
Here's another good one - driving with your ear buds in both ears. You can crash in stereo!
