My office is in my home, so all my clothes are here and nicely arranged in my walk-in closet. I have no clothing in my car except for a shawl to keep me warm in the summer months when I go into overly air-conditioned stores.

I have a whole antique armoire in my office with outfits so I can change. There are so many things happening in Carmel-by-the-Sea and each needs a change. Especially SHOES. The weather changes from foggy (cold) to sunny (temperate) several times a day.

No. I might throw a jacket or raincoat or something in the car if I'm going out for the day and the weather is supposed to change, but otherwise, what I've got on is it.

Paul, thanks for the reminder!! I should carry an extra pair of shoes in the car! I try to dress for the day before I get in the car, refill my water bottle and be sure the phone is charged. Great question!

Yes, sometimes multiple sets. Sometimes gym clothes or if I know I'm going from a causal to a formal event (or vice versa) I'll pack a change of clothes in the car. I always have my uniform in my car. I also carry jackets and right now a pair of fire department brush turnouts, with all the fires we've been having lately.

Occasionally a pair of shoes to change into from winter boots, but no clothing change.

Coming from he automobile industry it became a force of habit with changing weather, golf and now going to the boat.

I used to keep an extra sport coat, shirt & tie at my Coldwell Banker office, because it was 15 miles south of home; since going on my own last August, I live across the street from my office park, so if I need to change my closet is a 3 minute walk away. I do sometimes take an extra shirt in the car if I have many meal-meetings in a day...in case I get clumsy with coffee or sauce and need a quick shirt change. Also in our heat waves and showing property all day I keep an extra shirt to freshen up midway between clients.

I did when I started in real estate. Now I carry a light jacket and keep a pair of boots in the truck. Days that I plan on spending time with my grand kids.. I still carry a set of clothes. Never know!

I have an extra logo shirt in the car. Because I sometimes spill on my shirt.

I deal with a lot of new construction, so needless to say, I have a change of clothes with me at all times.

After walking in swamp land a few years ago while showing a property, I always keep a couple extra pairs of shoes in the trunk of my car.

I have an emergency shirt and jacket at my office, and I do carry toilet paper in my car as well.

The only extra thing I have in my trunk is a Mexican blanket. In case I need an impromptu picnic somewhere.

I've kept extra clothes at the office and in the car. Marianara tends to graviate towards anything white that I wear.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington not doing it - so far. Sounds like a good idea, though.

Usually-I started doing this in high school-I went to private school and paid for it by working 2 jobs. HS and 1 job warranted a uniform, then I'd have a spare for going out with friends-
Now I do it cause i garauntee you if I eat on the road-I'm gonna need a change I embrace my clumsiness!

I have extra shoes, but don't keep an extra set of clothes. Most of my sandals may not be suitable for walking acreage parcels. Even though they are Tevas or some other type of outdoor sandal.
I also carry boots with me during the winter months.

No. In bad weather I may carry an extra jacket or extra pair of shoes or rainboots. I live about 10 mintues from my office and generally work and show houses not more than 30 minutes away.

I have shoes in the car for walking land. Never know when I may need to hike a few acres.

I wear the same dumpy t shirt, baggy sweat pants and flip flops all the time. I DO change my undershorts every saturday night, if anyone needed to know. LOL
2,718,933
Yes, in the car. Business casual, blue jeans, shorts and short-sleeve shirts. Plus extra dress shoes, work boots, flip-flops. I still remember the Boy Scout motto, "Be Prepared".
742,369
Not only an extra set of clothes but a sleeping bag, 3 gal jug of water, flashlight, portable radio, extra batteries, warm clothes, WISE food rations, stash of cash and a couple other things I won't mention on a public/open forum.
My reason why? Another story.

I work at home so have everything I need for a change of clothes. I don't take extra clothes in the car except for a jacket during our rainy season.
280,649
Pair of old tennis shoes in the back for muddy builder sites. And a crumpled up rain poncho. That's all. Otherwise, they get what they get.
252,750
There is always at least 2 pair of heels, a pair of tennis shoes in my car, and if I am in the middle of a flip/rehab I will extra clothes in my car, so I don't hae to travel back home if a last minute request comes in.

Many times when I know I am going to be out of town or at a function I will take extra clothes. I inherited from my Mom the ability to get food or drink on any shirt I wear...even if I have a Bib on. I also have a unique ability to rip the crotch right out of a new pair of jeans or slacks...let alone an old pair. Have a family wedding this Saturday with reception and dance...this will probably be a 3 outfit day...

Back in my appraising days I certainly did, Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington ... and it came in handy quite a few times. Getting into crawl spaces and attics can get you dirty ... and cause unfortunate rips and tears. As can overly friendly dogs at the home. Nevermind the rain, snow, mud and other elements. I just made it a habit to be prepared ...

When i used to work in the woods more I carried several sets of dry clean clothes, now I do but not all the time.
4,796,238
Maybe a jacket.
When I was in the "corporate" world, I use to keep a white shirt and an extra tie in my office.
1,014,838
No I don't - I live close enough to everywhere I work that I can take a few mins to change if need be - I don't remember a time I needed to change though

No extra outfits. I am close enough to home usually to change when needed. Occasionally a more comfortable pair of shoes if I am running errands after work.

I can count on one hand the number of times I would have liked to have had a change of clothes although they remain at home.
5,585,039
when I was actively working, I would have a pair of construction boots and a pair of jeans.... walking in the muck and meyer is not a pleasant journey in dress clothes....

No, but I know that some of the guys have done this. Extra golf shirt & pants in the guest closet in the office.
Extra shoes in the car only.
