Some time ago I blew $2500 per quarter on Realtor dot com.  I should have flushed that money down the toilet, I would have gotten the same results.

Don't bar me from the Rain.  But I have paid for leads from the Z monster.  It never worked out.  Don't do it.  

In the past or recently? Realtors are the most kind hearted suckers on the planet. They'll try anything always with a sense of optimism.

The wallet gets broken quickly.

Everyone I talk to refers to YELP! so easy to use.  That has my attention.

They read the reviews! IS that a glow I see.

They place some value on the reviews! It is starting to shine.

I ask, "DO you look on Yelp for professional services?"

Yes they do!  That does look like a shiny thing, but is it real?

At more than $10,000 annual, one really needs to sort the bull from the rest.

Ghost leads that look so shinny and they turn into a puff of evaporating smoke.

I've learned to resist!  But it's fun to mess with the telemarketers when they call.

I have bought into several lead generation programs and worked my butt off trying to make something out of nothing. The nothing I got was zero sales and lots of people with no resources to buy. I learned that costly lesson after spending lots of bucks with no retrun and numberous hours of trying to chase down a supposedly good lead.

I don't go there! I can generate my own business thank you!

I just signed up today with Z57 , a web service company that blogs here on AR.  I have done all my own web design and SEO for 14 years. I rarely make page one on Google searches for Minot ND and I decided it's just time to let a professional web designer to give it a try. I decided to fund the project by dropping all my print advertising. Dropping the print and going with the other also saves me $100.00 a month.

I am getting better...

Alliances can be very helpful.  I refer a (very good) handyman and he mentions me when his clients need a painter....  There must be an equivalent for realtors.

Plenty of shiny objects competing for my attention, I have become very good at ignoring all of those that require an investment.

All the add-ons that enhance websites and facebook business pages. I am also fatigued by the amount of email I receive with the newest and hottest trend in social media.

lots of them..nothing replaces hard work, firm handshake and honesty... smart helps (a lot) but effort is super important

John Meussner Like you I've given up on these offerings that all you have to do is sell one property and you will pay for this fantastic program. How often have I heard that statement. I find that getting back to basics and networking is tried and true.

I chased coaching when I first started in RE - wow, what a waste that was!

Can't get ether my money or the time I wasted on that one!

I've never paid for another coach, seminar etc since - the only ones making money on these scams are the ones giving them!

Have chased some professed gurus over the years. Some had some fruitful thoughts and others not! Best to choose wisely, proceed slowly and grab on to what worrks for you! It is different for everyone!
