IGNORANCE is no Defense.  We know or should know ... and if we don't ... pleading ignorant won't cut the legal mustard.

Let's not confuse political leaders with real estate agents ...

I didn't know you could commit fraud without knowing you were doing so?  And as far as Hillary C goes ... she should be in jail.

First...accident and Fraud should not be in the same sentence.  Fraud is not by accident.  That's all.

Joseph Brown Yes, I do. It was due to an escrow account violation and the person lost their real estate license.

Your question is okay but the analogy you used has nothing to do with real estate. Keep focus on real estate here.

The FBI found evidence, look at any of the interviews with the FBI Director.  Bill and Loretta put pressure on him to silence him (afterall he has a nice salary and pension to worry about).  Remember, this is the party that has the dead vote for them (2016 CBS: The Dead are voting 2012 NBC Bay Area: Dead and Still Voting).

I don't know of anyone who ACCIDENTALLY committed fraud, but I know some who knowingly and willingly committed it (even to the point of signing documents as the ex-wife).

Oh and last I checked, IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE!!

I don't think your can unintentionally commit Fraud. That is a willful act meaning you know you are doing something wrong or you shouldn't be doing.

"Accident" is an excuse not a valid defense.

If you accidently remove one "0 " off the listing price of the home you list, you are not in hot water. You are fired.

Like Hillary...Real Estate agents are let off the hook every day!

Agents don't bother to file complaints and those that do usually find that justice is not what it should be.
