I blog to the public but come to the Q & A to interact with the community.

Definitely blogs, but I notice that people tend to only comment if they know you. Starting to get to know more Rainers this month of June. Plan on staying active and then I pop in ever so... and answer questions, but def. not as much as I do on blogs. I always pass the 20 too for the day.

Both, but if I have limited time I go to Q&A first.  It's quick, easy and usually lighter meaning less effort is needed to write a response.  Late evening like tonight I can relax & read a few Q's.  Also FUN!!!

This morning I popped into Q &A and laughed hysterically at the A's to one of the Q's.  That would be unusual if I was reading blog comments.

I agree, I will check the Q&A almost every day because they are easy to glance over for anything that is interesting enough to comment on. "Glancing" over the blog roll is almost impossible these days. 

I tend to answer questions more than blogs because questions are quicker to answer and give quick usable data with follow answers.

You'll never catch me commenting on the Q&A, just on blog posts, I have too long of an attention-span for those short questions, I prefer longer blogs.

Q&A...usually a quick in and out on the site.....occasionally I will take time and read blogs, but not often enough!

Lately I comment on Q & A more.  Q & A is great for answering quick questions or finding out the answer to questions that we might have. There is much more interaction here than on the blog posts, that are usually long and the opinion or experience of one person.

It depends on my mood, the time I have, and the blogs posted. Questions are a fun way to interact with members on a different level. It seems as if there aren't as many blogs to read as there were in the winter, or maybe that's just me.

I think attentions are divided. Yese comments on blogs are down and many are spending the majority of their time on Q&A. My blogging always comes first.

Blogs. Many of the Q&As don't seem to really need A's.

Both equally most of the time, but if I get really busy I may do more Q&A because I can do those comments more quickly and run.

My q and a time is in addition to what i used to do with blogs. It being so busy hurts my over al blog time

Anna Banana Kruchten - I am all over....

I do see even featured posts do get less comments now-a-days. I think it is seasonal - it's a busy season for most of us - and that's good.

Honestly Anna the last few weeks I've been swamped and not maxed out on commenting points anywhere any day.

I love Q&A , but thats me... i like fast food too. :)

At this point, I'd say Q&A.  It take less time.   I do have a few bloggers that I try to follow and comment on regularly.  It depends on my schedule.

Hi Anna- I've noticed the same thing....not as many comments on blogs.  From what I've read, many would rather stop here in the Q&A because it's quicker for them and they have as much to read. 

I only stop here if I have the time. 

Answering questions is quick and easy. Blog comments require more effort. Perhaps that explains it?

Well, I have not been here for a long time, so I won't have the insight you do. For me personally, I comment when I am interested or have input. Some days I'm more active on Q&A, some days on the blog posts. I think the smaller quantity of Questions means more people read them and then comment. There are so many blogs that I'm sure users miss blogs from people they follow, let alone the general community, keeping comments down in proportion.  

I am guilty of more involvement in the Q&A Anna Banana Kruchten.  I try to comment on the blog post but usually get drawn into the Q&A since it pops up right away when I come online.  That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!  I do love reading the blogs though.

I see no difference between the two. A well thought out response is a well thought out response. If the length of the post is important to you, you might consider getting back to it when you have more time but otherwise, only subject matter dictates what I read and respond to.

I agree with you. A&Q is just faster and easier. 

I don't know the percentage, I do both. Commenting on some blogs is pointless when some bloggers want to argue with you if you offer a respectful difference of opinion, some expect you to think their point of view is the ONLY point of view, and only want YES MAN, you are brilliant responses. Don't see that as much in Q&A, people are looking for different perspectives...mostly...

I comment more on the blogs by about a 4 to one margin.

I work hard to return all comments left on my blog posts. There are also members that I read regularly that don't participate in the q and a section. I make sure I comment on their latest post. So I guess I comment more on posts, but I enjoy the q and a section as well. 

Depends on the post subject-matter or the Q&A question. Not one more than the other.

More on blog posts.  I try to comment on everyone's blog who has commented on mine.

I answer or make comments to the posts that pertain to my area of expertise or posts that are of value and interest, therefore I do not keep track of the numbers. I do however find that commenting and answering questions can be time consuming.

Call me Old School, but I prefer to comment more on the blogs. Q & A section is nice, but many are only using it for the points.

I think that your observation is correct Anna.

People are busy and this allows them to shoot by for a visit much quicker.

The 50 word blog posts have always been more popular, and this is the next step beyond that.

Never thought about it.  I just comment on things I read.  So the Q&A is faster for me to comment on a busy day.

Blog posts are more interesting, but also more time consuming, so recently definitely commenting more on Q&A.

I'm not sure there is less commenting or not but the Q&A section is definitely less of a time commitment than reading and commenting on posts.   Overall, I'd say I comment more than answer both from time spent and numbers.  

I still focus on the posts, Anna Banana Kruchten ... but I think you're right about the number of comments being down.  Maybe a phase??

The questions seem to be more light-hearted in nature and topic.  I still learn from them, but not as much as the posts.

I think it's about 50/50 ... but it depends on how much time I have.  If I have extra time I probably comment on more blogs than Q&A.
