My father's birthday was on the 2nd of July, so we had a celebration that included the 4th...barbecue, etc.  A

Brisket and ribs in the smoker.

No traditions for me.  I just go with flow. This year my clients invited me to join them ... it's all good. 

Hi Leanne - We sit on the front lawn and watch three different cities do their fireworks and then go inside and comfort our dogs.

We always have family around, again this year the grandkids, and have lots of good food on the grill, plus potato salad! But some years we've been to friends' home for 4th of July parties and to watch the fireworks

Used to be at Port Bay but because of his health we will start a new one on the boat and as always Zweigle Natural Casing Hots for me and Hoffmann's for her.

10K run at 1am on the morning of the 4th.

Then out comes the safety goggles so we can get beneath the fireworks at the Safety Harbor Marina.

There is a spot walking distance from my house to watch the local show.  I do that.  Other than that, no tradition.  I usually don't go to any parties.  No sense dealing with traffic and drunks when I can just walk!

Usually a BBQ and pool time.

I make it a point to put up the flag and go to fireworks.

We walk down to the river to enjoy live music and watch the fireworks display. 

Still working on creating one. Oh, here's something - I make a berry platter in the colors of the American flag - blueberries, strawberries or raspberries and sweetened sour cream or vanilla yogurt.

When we lived in either CT or CA, we always had a Family Cook-Out!  Loved that!!  Here we now usually go away for the Holiday, and seldom have neighbors over, since it's fun to have a weekend day off Leanne Carpenter.  Hope you are having a Family Tradition somewhere . . . 

We celebrate Canada Day in much the same way as your 4th; fireworks and bbqs, sips & sparks!

Then, on the 4th, we can watch the fireworks in NY over your side of the 1000 Islands - beautiful on the water!

We have not had the opportunity to spend it together for many years, so we will be doing something special this year and for many years to come!

No specific "traditions"

No family traditions.

It varies year to year - this year we're going back to basics - burgers and dogs (Italian Hot Dogs though Mmmmmmm)!

We celebrate Canada Day on July 1 in our traditional Canadian style.  We don't celebrate US Independence Day but enjoy reading and viewing your country's celebrations.

We try to spend a little time at the community concerts, but lately we have been too busy.

we don't really have a tradition for that holiday.  My family is one that works on holidays with my brother running a restaurant, my husband being in Law Enforcement and my daughter being a paramedic.  Holidays are just other work days.

A Day at my Sons house, then fireworks later.

Having fun is our tradition. It could mean traveling to see friends and family or staying home and entertaining. 

It has changed over the years. The past 3 years we go to the beach and do bbq and the fireworks show.

No tradition here.  There is usually a fireworks display down by the riverfront.  I usually go to a friends house with a good view of the fireworks.

Here in DC, we take the national fireworks display pretty seriously.

Since the kids have grown, it is less of an event. I am also tired of fireworks as well. As far as BBQing goes, I do that all year. Just another day to be thankful for

   Fireworks... our neighborhood has a shoot-out to see who can be the biggest and the baddest. 

     Fireworks that fly or explode are illegal in Florida, but we can drive 30 miles to the Georgia State Line (or farther west to Alabama) and get what we need.
