I am not a broker and have no role in recruiting or training new agents.
However, that does not prevent me from having an opinion.
This situation is that the broker and associated agents may believe they will sunset with the current client base and agents. That is a business plan.
However, those who do not embrace walking silently into the sunset and believe they have some 'obligation' regarding the training and preparation of those the take on board, they will feel an ETHICAL responsibility to operate in good faith.
At the first "ON BOARD" day I would have the newbie and their mentor take the 'Genuis' test so they can identify how each of them work and can work together most productively and where they motivational power exits.
I would then align their business plan and implementation to reflect these realities.
