Funny you should ask Kevin Morris! I am just finishing up a sale to a grandchild (she's in her 30's). Originallly sold to her grandparents in our niche, which is age-restricted communities, and at that time met her parents. They currently are looking to purchase a home to rent out, and we are finishing up a sale with their daughter. Yes, it's been very encouraging. I've loved 'the change' of working with a first-time homebuyer, and her parents, which is totally different than working with the original couple, the grandparents. I do like one group better than the other, and it would not be fair to say which one, as they are all a very nice family.

I have! I've also gone the other way and sold to the grandchildren or children first and then to parents moving down, then siblings, etc...It's great getting the referrals and gives you a good starting point on forming your client/agent relationship!

I have done this, but not in that order, and with one relative I listed the home. So I worked with three generations of this family. I thought it was pretty cool.

This would be a great sign to be a generation real estate agent that a family trusts.

I have done three generations, and within my own family. Not likely I will make it four.

Kevin,
I've assisted two generations several times, but not three. There's still time though.

Kevin Morris - I am in this field for little over decade but already sold it to 2 generations. May be another 20 years and it will be 3 generations for sure...

That is quite interesting. Must have been in the business a LOOONG time! I've had a client try to set me up with her daughter, that's the closest I got! Well, that is unless you count the listing I had that sold to three generations that were going to live under the same roof.

No not yet.... They buy it hold til death. Rather than selling it on the market. They gave to children,

I've only done two generations (a couple of times), but not three. And not liking my odds of the kids getting old enough before I retire from real estate to go for the third.

I have not made the jump to any grandchildren yet. Not sure if I will be in the game that long but I hope to be!
