I don't hold open houses at any time, but I surely wouldn't on a long, holiday weekend. I'm doing a bit of work, but also relaxing. If you have a hot market and a home that will sell fast, why even worry about an open house?

no open house events for us this weekend....I just did a double check.... no requests for marketing....yeah....

Just relocated to Chicago. Not doing anything Memorial Day Weekend but relaxing!

I take off the 3 major Summer Holidays !

I'm actually doing an Open House.  I have a Seller who desperately need me to get it SOLD and we are very challenged by her location.  So far 8 out of 10 scheduled showings have just "not shown up" so I decided I would try and Open House this Sunday and I am PRAYING that someone in the area that is currently renting will be curious enough to stop in and then I can show them how they can be the OWNER of this beautiful home.  I have a Lender coming with me to the Open House ... so we are armed and ready! 

Working half day today than the afternoon off. So far so good for Sunday and Monday will be a work day

I am only taking Monday off and wish everyone else had the opportunity.

I'm doing one. I'm not sure how successful it will be, but I'll have to give an update on Monday.

1/2 day Saturday, closed Sun (going to a party) & Mon (hike & beach).

Well deserved and based on light traffic; San Diegeans left town.

I think it's a waste but people are still doing them I guess. Doesn't mix well with the beach & BBQ's.

I am not doing it and am choosing to take some time with family and friends.

I'm doing an Open House on Saturday and something fun on Sunday - at least if I can get my stupid cold under wraps!

I've paid my $250 to participate in a endurance run on Sunday.

What are my thoughts for this Sunday?

IF it makes sense..do it. Just keep in mind, all the parks will be at full capacity. Try to make that work. "If you lived here you could WALK to the park!"

I think many people will be out looking this weekend.

One can do an Open House any time they feel like it. It is your business.

In Denver it was really slow Sunday and Monday.    

I have pass on Holiday weekends, to many people out of town.

This is a big beach weekend here and while an OH may get traffic, it may be more lookers than serious, qualified buyers. Since you are in a hot market and don't expect your new listing to last long, I would not hold OH. Maybe a broker open on Tuesday instead?  

Every market is different.  Go for it if you think it will be successful.

It might be a good opportunity and really depends on your market, your open house philosophy and the property.   I have appointments today and tomorrow --- nothing scheduled on Monday...yet.   Have a nice weekend.

Do you think you will sell the house you are thinking about holding open as a result of holding it open?

There are two thoughts - you get many visitors who might fall in love and want to buy OR you get many curious tourists who might stop in just to have a look and never come back. In my experience, it's been mostly the latter. Enjoy the week-end!

This is a busy weekend for home viewing here.

i will be working, but it wont be a holiday here in Canada, so its not the same problem

I have no issues if someone wants to hold an open house.

We do not have a long weekend in our great land this weekend.

We celebrated Her Majesty Queen Victoria's birthday in our long weekend last weekend.

My weekend started early. Showed a listing today, and we are putting it under contract now.

I am working on Sunday. Lots of people play over the weekend and lots of people are looking for a home.  Unless you want the day off ... why not?

Holding an open house from 3-4 tomorrow so I can keep Sunday free.  I'm not expecting a lot of traffic, but who knows for sure??  Bill

I will be working. Not on open house, but in marketing myself. I will be the one trying to invite myself to my neighbor's backyard BBQ.

I do not really do anything special to celebrate. So, my schedule is the same, I'm working. 

Sounds like you may have a lot of vacationers there.  Could be good to hold an open house in case anyone likes their vacation so much they don't want to go back to reality.
