Hi Sam - Home values will continue to climb as long as the economy is growing. If that changes, so will the trend line.

The bail out - was such a disgrace - If they had instead paid off everyones mortgage in the US, we would not only have saved billions but also gotten ourselves out of the depression years earlier - don't get me started!!!

Real estate will go on as usual no matter what bonehead is in office.

There is nothing about this election that is not scary

when trump wins the stock market will gain 15% overnight, not sure what the real estate market will do, but I expect it will increase

I suspect in the markets just outside of DC, like my suburban VA market, will slow down the closer the election gets.  However, once a decision has been made in November, no matter what it is, people unclinch and get back out there in the real estate market.

I do not let the prognostications from these people affect my conscience.

Why scary? It is not about who is going to be a President, but the power behind them.

That does not sound realistic.

NOT AT ALL, this fall it is the lesser of 2 or 3 evils. Consumer confidence also affects selling, if people do not feel comfortable, they do not sell, therefore they do not buy, therefore the market slows down. Bernie has said out right that he will take from everyone who "has" and give t to those who dont or dont want to work. Those working earn what they have. Ask Venezuela how well socialism works? Trump although not politically correct, will fix what the current prez broke.

The future is unknown to all of us, unless of course you have a crystal ball.  I am taking it one day at a time and hoping for the best ... but the reality of what I see is ... you can only be in debt to a point when things fall out ... so no comment yet.  I reserve any prediction.  

I haven't been happy with the choices in many years and the government has managed to keep going. I would say it is scare tactics.

Scare tactics...It is going to take several years to catch up on the housing shortage.

I think our market is making a solid recovery either way.  I see a nice slow increase in home values month after month.  I would be more concerned if I saw a spiked increase

Sam Shueh Home values have been steadily increas over the last umteen years. It won't be any different.

There are many reasons why home values have been increasing in many areas of our great land.  In some areas, prices have decreased dramatically in a relatively short period of time.

I don't think the selection of who becomes president will effect home prices.
