My wife's research shows that I only have half a brain.  #truestory

One day a group of husbands and wives went to a scientific program. The doctor there was showing them brains from real peopleand telling how expensive it would be to buy one. He said it was five million dollars for a female brain and ten million dollars for a male brain. The men snickered, thinking they knew why. One of the women said, ''Well, why is that, sir?'' The doctor answered, "The men's brains cost more, for they have never been used."

Hmmm.  Why am I not surprised?

Research shows that men have 2 brains and choose which one to use at different times. LOL!

I have heard that before. So guess who does a better job of listening?

So that is why we only hear what we want to?

And sometimes I can zone out with both sides, I cant help it but it does happen.

That is Not true...we use both lobes unless it is our wives talking

If a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Were the researchers Men or Women?  

• If they were men, they may have meant they are so smart, they only have to use half of their brain.  
• If they were women researchers they probably meant that women were twice as smart!    

That is why there is always a powerful woman guiding a successful man.

That doesn't surprise me. My husband only halfway listens.

The male chauvinist part of me says that's because we don't need all of our brains to listen and can work on other things with the other half.

So this means men are twice as smart?

I would question that research.

Of course, it does make sense when so many women have so much to say that absolutely no one wants to hear, so men have a highly developed survival skill of selective listening. 

Interesting research would be: "While in selective listening mode, what are the trigger words that get through the noise?"

I do not find women better listeners by any measure. Not a scientific study.

Not surprised at all - we are multi-faceted in so many ways.

it is simple. men only have 1/2 a brain. they are more efficient. they use all of what they have :)

It is not how we listen but how we process the received information;) 

I have seen many forms & takes on this. If I told you your house was on fire or your car was stolen, I would have your full attention guaranteed.

Attention span is very limited..... 

We got one mouth but two ears. Men turn off their hearing when someone says things they do not want to hear.
