Yes, especially when you have to lock the front door using a key. It seems like it's above everyone's pay grade. I am surrounded by idiots in my area.

Hi Peter - The one that causes the most problems is them locking the door to the garage, which is how most of our sellers enter their own home - many don't carry a house key, so we warn them to keep one in the garage.

I have issue with keys that do not open doors or most of the times: agents who do not answer their phones or emails.

There have been times the door has been left unlocked, but not often, thankfully.

Most lock the doors, our problem is the agents who pocket the key without replacing it in the lockbox and then we have to track who had last access to the property and get the key returned.

Good morning Peter. I hear this topic talked about all the time, I just don't understand why locking a home up is such a big deal.

Fortunately the agents do lock doors, though I have to admit that some locks are 'not my friends' on older homes!  First there's the security door, then there's the door lock, and then the deadbolt lock.  All are not opened with the same key, though none are labeled.  Then there's the charming 'key in lock but it won't turn' scenario.  Fortunately none have broken off for me at this point - HA! - Peter Mohylsky!!

Must be newer realtors who have trouble with different locks.

The ones I have trouble is keyless type. Each manufacturer is different.
