Wow, measure twice, pour once would have been good here. Fortunately most consumer Americans use their garages as storage units, so car access unnecessary. Thank you Cost Co & Walmart.
Or we can get philosophical here: "which came first? The driveway or the garage?"

All I can figure out is, when the house was originally planned, the garage door was initially on the side of the house. But how much concrete do you need to pour before you realize there might be a problem?

Mimi,
Maybe it is a mini hanger for a mini plane that lands inside? Wow, someone must have had a colossal hangover. A

Wow, that is so wrong. I agree with what Mimi said ... a few people probably saw the mistake. Especially the driveway concrete guy.

Ha! Saw this one somewhere too. Someone said it's a builder's model and eventually they'll put in the driveway. I don't get not putting it in when they graded the lot.

I believe he said that this was used as a model home before the next section opened and they plan to install a drive to the front now that the street is going in.

Epic access failure, unless it is a model and they intend on building a driveway later.

wow.... the curb cut must be on the side with the concrete slab (driveway)....that's an easy fix, but you'd have to swing in by pouring a loop from the right edge of the photo swinging into the front yard and then into the garage.... extra parking with the previous pour....

I saw this on Facebook, and wondered if it was a model home. Often times they pour the driveways later.

So much for the convenience of a side-loading garage.
And those trash cans are not large enough for the demolition of the driveway that will need to take place.

I am hoping this is a builder's spec home that is going to be used as the model...and later adjust for a front entry drive once it is sold and customers don't use the drive there for parking. But I may just be trying to be generous about a big error?!!

One can widen the existing drive way. Many do not use the garage. Rather it is for home storage.
My next door neighbor's is like that. He will drive his druck backwards....
