For flyers I have a "tried and true" template that I've been using since the late 90s.  Takes me maybe 5-10 minutes to make it.

For new promotional pieces, it can take weeks to get everyone to sign off of the design and content.

Wow, it varies.  It could be a few minutes to the better part of a week depending on the complexity as well as the creative juices.

we have an in-house marketing dept. in our firm and they are upstairs from where my office is located.... I get very special attention!!!  it takes me hours....not days to do all of what you described....and THEY DO IT ALL!!! I just design it.

If I outsource something complicated then 48 hours.

In our work, we produce templates for every need.  All that has to be done is to gather was needs to be there, like photos and descriptions. A

I usually start with a template, which helps create brand uniformity and also saves time. Unless it's something complicated, I can usually create a new print or web piece in a couple of hours.

Some of my marketing is within an hour

We have an Art Department, and we bring them the general concept and text for what we want, then they work with us to come up with the finished product.  If it is a fact sheet, the staff photographer will already have taken the pictures. They helped me with a personal brochure and had it finished in less than a day.  

It takes a week generally becasue we have many other things going on at the same time too.

I use the same templates over and over, so it's just dropping in photos and adding copy. Not very long as it's almost on auto pilot.

Our company provides a professional photographer for our listings and we use an online company's templates. Easy and fast!

I am really creative on the design end. I use publisher, print on our awesome copier. Then the process slows down from there a bit - I use a special section in the USPS that print labels on the 1/2sheet cards. Off I go with check to post office.

You have to create the least amount of 'touches' to the mailer. Touch = time.

RM just overhauled all it's mailers/flyers/postcards which I just tried last month on a listing. It was EZ & I liked the final product.

It depends upon the marketing piece.

For many instances, all we need is a MLS printout.

Almost all of mine are produced for me, so literally 5 minutes on my monthly e-reports (one click after proofing), zero on my IOV (items of value) monthly mailers, done for me and on listing flyers and e-blast digital flyers, they come right of the property website but they take about 15-20 minutes once per week to post in social media, blogs and load/send in my e-mailing lists.

So I'd say 1:30 per month. It's the power of being a Buffini Coached Realtor, I get quality pieces that represent me well, I'm proud to send them and Buffini does all the work.

A marketing piece? I can do a flier in a few minutes.

A campaign, for example, for the CIS Score, will include many marketing disciplines and could take 3 weeks to have all the pieces in place.

ON THE RIGHT TRACK took months to put together.

Regarding marketing property, it can be minutes or weeks (if a Property Pedigree is completed) before all the pieces are in place.

A question to ask is "Are all the pieces required to get started?"

I most cases no, but to get all the most harmonious benefit, all parts of the orchestra should be in position to play their note at the right time. Sometimes waiting, to have all pieces in place, is the right action for both the seller and the agent.

When designing a new postcard for my sphere could take a week or two.

depends on the medium, internet takes a few hours, print media generally takes a few hours to produce, then a week to wait for the printing.

Great question - for some it may take just a few hours and for some little too long. My FB ads need landing page design and responder plus more - tracking etc.

One needs to plan properly for sure.
