I no longer get stressed because of bad behavior from others. If it becomes a serious issue, I have my broker speak to their broker and try to resolve the issues.

Punch them.
Haha, only kidding of course. I just make a mental note that the next time I work with them, if I'm forced to, I would do things differently. For example, if they tend to try to change facts, I'd make sure nothing was verbal - all in writing.

Too late on maligning our industry! I think you have to remember who you work for - if the other agent frustrates you remember you are doing it for the buyer.
Some agents just love drama & they love to create it. Be sure that you are not one of them.

Grumble for a few minutes, then move on. It is part and parcel of life in general as well as any industry and is not exclusive to real estate. Why aggravate yourself? A

Monica Hill - this indeed is a big thing - and I do see it happening a lot around me...
What I do is - as per my coach, thanks , we can't control the outcome but we do control the activities we do to generate more business. Focus on that - and you'll work towards your goals.

I will refer to the contract. When a listing agent attempts to ride my ass throughout a transaction and demand to know when I blow my nose or wipe my bottom, I simply remind the agent it is my job ... and I've got it covered.
There are all kinds of PITA's in the world ... don't allow their bat-crazy-making flow into your world.
Punch a bag, drink a bag, smoke a bag ... won't really help. Medidate ... not medicate. That's my way.

I go to the gym knowing that the agent I am Po' d at will soon be a distant memory and he/she will someday run into another agent , seller or buyer thats as hard to work with as they are. Karma can be a bitch.

I've ended phone calls and stated, "all further communications will be done by email, where hopefully professionalisim or the lack of it will be documented for all to see.
I have some trusted professional confidants I can vent to safely and I offer the same service to them We commisserate about the state of our industry at times.

Go for a very L O N G walk or get a good workout in asap, then release after. Bikram yoga will also help unload some stress. You then realize there is nothing we can do to control their actions, but only our response

Rule #1: Keep your trap shut! Knowledge is power. I have never been able to understand those who need to run off at the mouth. Life is hard, and real estate is a tough business. When others tell you things, store it away, it might become valuable information in the future. That absolutely does not mean you can be used as a verbal punching bag. Just smile and walk away or hang up the phone.

I always stick to the issues of the transaction or business. If I run into business people that don't "behave", I tell them what the problem is and to act professionally. I really don't care on their tone or how they do things, just get it done. I work alone, so spreading the word only goes so far. I would not talk about other agents, if I were an agent. That is not ethical.

Most ethical way! How did that get thrown in? Are you actually seeking a response related to morality or a moral lifestyle? Such a response would actually address the 'gossip and maligning' concern.
So, take ten minutes, and, for the offending party, sincerely pray for their well-being, prosperity and good health. You can not stay angry at those for whom you pray for 10 minutes and the deity will pinch your lips closed when you are tempted to gossip.
But you may be more receptive to "take a deep breath, return to your center (place of peace) and resume.
